Zornheym may be a new symphonic extreme Metal band from Stockholm, however the members are weathered veterans in the scene with a wealth of experience and founded and led by multi-instrumental mastermind and songwriter Zorn, former bassist with Dark Funeral.

He is determined to shake up the traditional Metal meets symphony approach with his new band, which has quickly grown from an ambitious idea to a reality and this single is a part of the band's concept, the bigger picture which delves into a dramatic musical and cinematic narrative revolving around the horrors of a mental institution, Zornheym and its prisoners/inmates and is sure to be the "stuff of nightmares".

The line-up for Zornheym is completed by Facebreaker#s Bendler on vocals, guitarist and musical arranger Scucca, and Diabolical drummer Angst.

This one track serves as a superb teaser/taster to their pending full length 'Where Hatred Dwells And Darkness Reigns' and personally I can't wait to hear the whole album after listening to this one track. It's superbly composed with a perfect balance between the symphonic and the blackened and it's hugely addictive. I can't fault it in any way.

What I also like is that the concept totally encompasses the whole notion of the band, not just the single/album and it's a new avenue for Black Metal, adding an exciting new chapter to the genre.

'The Opposed' EP, the band's debut single and forerunner to their upcoming full length 'Where Hatred Dwells And Darkness Reigns' which will be available in November, is out August 19th through the Dutch label Non Serviam Records on all digital platforms. Both have been recorded and mastered by Sverker Widgren, (October Tide, Demonical, IXXI, Diabolical) with cover art created by photographer and designer Jens Rydén (Marduk, Thyrfing).
