The fifth album from East End bruisers Chariot who are best remembered for their first two albums, 'The Warrior' from 1984 and the follow up 'Burning Ambition' which came a couple of years later.

An appearance at the Reading Festival in 1987 and high profile support slots won Chariot many fans but their style of bangers 'n mash Metal came just a little too late and the Eastenders were overlooked by younger rock fans keen to get their fix of the burgeoning thrash scene or the pretty boy rock of Bon Jovi and Def Leppard.

Chariot folded but were certainly not forgotten. Pete Franklin formed Dirty Deeds and did a high profile support tour with Iron Maiden on the 'Virtual XI' tour, but in 2006 Chariot officially reformed for the comeback 'Behind The Wire' album.

With three quarters of the original line up reunited Chariot are well and truly back with their new album 'Demons & Angels'. A little more mature and a slightly slower pace yet still retaining a deep hearty groove Chariot have lost none of their true grit or identity.

Opener 'Get Enough' is an addictive belter of smooth solid adult rock and that feeling continues throughout on an album that is an enjoyable ride.

There's plenty on here that may surprise older fans who stopped buying Chariot albums after their original initial success. This is no nostalgia trip, but a surprisingly good collection of songs. Welcome back Chariot.
