Bernie Torme talks to MetalTalk's Mark Taylor before his recent stunning set at the Borderline in London.

Bernie talks in depth about his new album 'Flowers & Dirt' plus his lengthy career including his punk era (8.15).

On joining the highly successful Gillan (13.55), Bernie says about the legendary singer Ian Gillan: "He didn't even ask me to audition. On his infamous departure from the band, he says: "It was easier to make a living out of it, rather than in it... I don't blame Ian, it was just bad management."

Talking about his brief tenure with Ozzy Osbourne after the passing of Randy Rhoads (27.05), Bernie says: "I had no idea how big Ozzy was in the US," and jokingly reminisces when Ozzy said: "I fucking hate Stratocasters, can't you play a Gibson?"
