Born and bred in the hotbed of metal that is Helsinki, Finland, Anne moved to London in 1996 with all her savings and the dream of blowing them on gigs and at the best record shops in the world (for the younger readers, this was in the good old days when albums and singles were something that not only could you hear, but see, touch, smell...).
Her earliest foray into the world of dirty rock n' roll was at the tender age of nine when she persuaded her mother to buy 'Killers' by Kiss for her, having seen the band on TV. 'Shout At The Devil' (ahhh, that gatefold sleeve...) by Mötley Crüe followed soon after.
Anne's first live music event was an all day punk festival near the Russian border at the age of 13 (big sisters have their uses, y'know!). From then on she has attended numerous gigs and festivals and predicts this to continue "until I die of old age in my wheelchair, hopefully at some really good gig, a bit like how the Rolling Stones appear to be hellbent on going".
An avid gig-goer and music enthusiast with tastes spanning almost the entire spectrum of genres, you can usually find her rocking out to herself with headphones on full blast, at a gig, attempting to partake in some kind of artistic activity, or nursing a vodka or ten at an (in)decent drinking establishment.
