HAIL!, the Heavy Metal 'Supergroup' featuring bassist David Ellefson (Megadeth), guitarist Andreas Kisser (Sepultura), vocalist Tim "Ripper" Owens (Yngwie Malmsteen, ex-Judas Priest, Iced Earth) and newly appointed chameleon drummer Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater) have been confirmed for this year's Rock In Rio.

Rock In Rio will take place in Rio, Lisbon and Madrid this year and HAIL! will play Lisbon on Sunday May 30th. The band had previously announced that they would play on Saturday May 29th.

Said Andreas Kisser, "Rock In Rio is an enormous event that started in Brazil but has blossomed all over the world and we are immensely proud to be playing it! Although David Ellefson will not be with us for these dates, we will use this as an opportunity to invite a new brother (or sister) into the family and as always we've got some surprises lined up. Also, we have a bunch of European and Asian tour dates planned for this time and we will be announcing them soon so please stay tuned. Thank you to everyone for your support - we love you!"

There is a possibility that the band will play further European dates between the two Rock In Rio shows and hopefully, a UK date or two could transpire. We will keep you posted.
