Tank's new album 'War Machine' is out today in Europe on Metal Mind and the band are on the verge of releasing tour plans.

The band issued an upbeat statement early this morning, which you can read in full below;

Article continues below...

"There's a great atmosphere in the War Office today because after what seems like an eternity, 'War Machine' has finally been released, to major critical acclaim.

"The War Cabinet gathered in The Tabard, Chiswick, London on Sunday, the eve of war, and great victorys were spoken of. D-day is now upon us, Tank are about to rise again and 'War Machine' is about to take the Metal world by storm.

"Here is the declaration that was made by The War Cabinet on the eve of war;

"You ask, what is our policy? I will say: It is to wage war, by axe and drum, with all our might and with all the strength that the Metal Gods can give us; to wage war with our 'War Machine'. That is our policy.

"You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word: victory; victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory, however long and hard the road may be; for without victory, there is no survival. Let that be realised; no survival for Tank, no survival for all that the band has stood for, no survival for the urge and impulse of Heavy Metal.

"But I take up my task with buoyancy and hope. I feel sure that our cause will not be suffered to fail among men. At this time I feel entitled to claim the aid of all, and I say, 'Come then, let us go forward together with our united strength'."

"This is an amazing time for Heavy Metal. Accept's 'Blood Of The Nations' album entered the German album charts at number four and Gravedigger's new opus 'The Clans Will Rise Again' entered the German charts at number 28 and is scheduled to rise further.

"Helloween's new '7 Sinners' album is due out any day now and is being tipped to hit top spot in the German charts. But what of 'War Machine'? Well let's just say that the War Office is hopeful. Over ten thousand torrent downloads in four days - and who knows what the total is now - tells us that 'War Machine' is going to make some waves.

"So 'War Machine' is ready for battle, the band have donned combats and are primed for foreign shores, the War Office is fully mobilised and our legions of fans throughout Europe and the world have let us know in no uncertain terms that when war rages on their home soil, they will be there for us, loyal and true.

"We shall go on to the end, we shall play in Europe, we shall play in South America, we shall play with growing confidence and growing strength at the Festivals, we shall defend our album, whatever the cost may be. We shall never surrender."
