EXCLUSIVE FORMER ICED EARTH MEMBERS MATT BARLOW AND FREDDIE VIDALES REUNITED IN NEW BAND
12th July 2012

I feel it once again, It's overwhelming me...

In a totally unexpected but very welcome move, former Iced Earth frontman Matt Barlow has posted a video teaser of what is clearly a new band that he has formed with former Iced Earth bass player Freddie Vidales and former Nevermore drummer Van Williams.

Freddie left Iced Earth earlier this year after the band dramatically increased their touring schedule, ironically because Matt had left the band and new singer Stu Block was free to permanently tour.

Matt had left Iced Earth in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks and when asked to return to the fold by Jon Schaffer, he rejoined on the condition that he could keep his job as a US Law Enforcement Officer, thus restricting Iced Earth's availablilty to tour.

Matt formally retired from Iced Earth in March 2011 (read Matt's leaving statement here) and the subsequent recruitment of new singer Stu Block allowed Iced Earth to proceed with unlimited touring.

Freddie left in March for reasons unknown but under good terms to be replaced by Fury UK's Luke Appleton.

Now Matt and Freddie are reunited and you can view the short video teaser below, along with this message from Matt regarding the future of this exciting new project.

"Greetings all! Just wanted to give you guys a little insight into what's been going on lately. Well, though we are still in the early stages of progress, we are really excited about what we are hearing thus far. We hope that you have patience with us as we continue with this creative process and search for a record label that will help us bring our music to you all in the best way. Thanks for all your support....more to come! BARLOW"
