Pussy Riot's Maria Alyokhina has been moved to a hospital in the Urals town of Berezniki for medical care after her hunger strike progressed into its second full week.
Maria's hunger strike is in protest to Russian prison officials who have now prevented her from attending her own parole hearing.
Maria also claims that she has ben subjected to intimidation and mistreatment from prison guards including being housed with far more extreme and experienced criminals who were encouraged to mistreat her. This claim led to Maria being placed in solitary confinement for five months.
