With the annual Armed Forces event taking place in Nottingham on Saturday 29th June it seems appropriate that Germany and England come together on Sunday 30th June when German rock giants Bonfire will make it to the historic stage of Rock City in a joint headlining show alongside new British supergroup Snakecharmer. The line-up also features Nottingham legends Wraith.

Although Bonfire have been playing sold-out shows and major festivals across Europe, the band have not been to these shores since they headlined the Firefest event at Rock City in 2010. This will be their onlu UK date on their present European tour.

Snakecharmer are being touted as 'The New British Supergroup', comprising former and current members of Whitesnake, Thunder, Wishbone Ash, The Ozzy Osbourne Band and Heartland. With a traditional blues rock sound, the band's debut album was released in February this year to worldwide critical acclaim. Their performance at Nottingham Rock City will be a masterclass in musical showmanship.

Nottingham lads Wraith, with their classic heavy rock twin guitar sound will be the opening act on the night. Wraith celebrated their 25th anniversary last year with a reunion show to a packed Rock City audience. Since their career bagen in the late 80s the band have released four studio albums and shared stages with some of the biggest names in the business. The show is a 14-years-plus event and takes place at Rock City, Talbot Street, Nottingham on Sunday 30th June. Doors open at 6.00pm and tickets are priced at £23.00 advance.

Here's a fabulous Aerosmith pictorial document as seen through the lens of famed British photographer Tony Mottram. Tony photographed the band over many years for various magazines and now has a monthly column here on MetalTalk.

As was often the case, only one photo ever got published and in the fast moving world of weekly magazines sometimes entire sessions would be done and left undeveloped.

Tony started shooting Aerosmith from towards the end of the period with Jimmy Crespo and Rick Dufay and onwards through the return of original members Joe Perry and Brad Whitford that resulted in the albums 'Done With Mirrors', 'Permanent Vacation' and 'Pump'.

As well as shooting the band several times in England, this collection includes images from a session at the band's rehearsal room in Boston. Littered throughout is a mixture of live and off stage photos including a selection of photos taken at London's famous Marquee club when they were joined on stage by Jimmy Page.
