VAN HALEN PULL 31 TOUR DATES. IS THIS THE END GAME?

It’s looking like the end game for Van Halen as 31 dates of their current US tour have been pulled from their website without explanation.

The band were set to stay on the road until September with original frontman Dave Lee Roth, brothers Eddie and Alex Van Halen and Eddie’s son Wolfgang promoting new album ‘A Different Kind Of Truth’ but now the tour now appears to end on June 26th in New Orleans.

Rolling Stone have quoted a ‘band insider’ who says: “They hate each other. The band is arguing like mad. They’re fighting.”

There are also suggestions that the band are unhappy with large numbers of tickets going unsold, hardly a surprise as front row tickets are retailing at an extortionate $160.

Fans have said they’re disappointed with the lack of energy in the band’s show, and that it doesn’t reflect the album, which has been received much more warmly.

Van Halen News Desk said: “These dates have been postponed, not cancelled. Several shows on their 2007-2008 tour were postponed as well, and all were ultimately rescheduled.”
