Slash’s bassist Todd Kerns has revealed that he and drummer Brent Fitz have been recording with former Ozzy guitarist, Jake E Lee.
On his blog he states: “I found myself at a top secret recording session for Jake E Lee’s brand new solo album! I’m totally serious. Jake is the unsung hero of Ozzy Osbourne. He played on Bark At The Moon and The Ultimate Sin before the world had heard of Zakk Wylde. Mr Fitz and I play on a song from the forthcoming album. You can say you heard it here first.”
Little has been heard from Jake E Lee since the split of his post-Ozzy band, Badlands in 1993. As Todd said, Jake was Ozzy’s guitar hero through the ‘Bark At The Moon’ and ‘Ultimate Sin’ eras, considered by many to be Ozzy’s finest hour and it provided the Prince of Darkness with one of his biggest chart successes in the form of the hit single ‘Shot In The Dark’.
No release date or further details on Jake’s new project have yet been released.
