2011 has been an absolutely fantastic year for Melbourne based Circles and to round it off in style the band has released one final announcement. During the first few months of 2012 the band will be taking their unique brand of progressive Metal to the road, in a string of dates across their native homeland of Australia, the first of many tours for the band next year.

Since their critically acclaimed debut EP was released in May this year via UK based label Basick Records, Circles have been hard at work building their profile worldwide.

Their videos for 'Clouds Are Gathering' and 'Eye Embedded' were premiered internationally by Metal Injection in the USA and Metal Hammer Magazine and Scuzz TV in Europe with both videos subsequently reaching the No.1 spot on Scuzz TV, their EP and single reached No.1 and No.5 on the Australian Metal iTunes chart simultaneously, sweeping the review boards worldwide with praise and picking up airplay worldwide including national airplay on BBC Radio 1 and TripleJ and scored features in Metal Hammer Magazine, Kerrang!, Blunt, TripleJ Mag and Terrorizer, all whilst continuing to play countless gigs and begin work on their follow up record!

Circles drummer Dave Hunter commented: "This year has been so fantastic for us, we've spent 2011 putting a lot of the groundwork in and now we can't wait to be out on the road again. It's so much fun to see those fresh faces in the front row singing their guts out and this time we've got some surprises up our sleeve with new tracks that we'll be road testing exclusively to our Australian fans, so you don't want to miss this. We also get to share the stage with our good friends Humality and The Schoenberg Automaton who both absolutely blow us away."

Catch Circles on the following dates in 2012:

14 January – The Corner Hotel, Melbourne
15 January – The National Hotel, Geelong
28 January – Venom Nightclub, Sydney
3rd February – The Hi-Fi Bar, Brisbane
4th February – Miami Shark Bar, Gold Coast
10th February – The Bended Elbow, Ballarat

WACKEN WINTER NIGHTS IS HEAVY METAL WONDERLAND

wacken

Wacken Winter Nights 2018 takes place between February 23rd and 25th 2018 and the great news is that you can now experience a full-on, top class German Metal Festival easily and affordably.

It only takes an hour to fly to Hamburg from London and we've had longer journeys than that within the capital and they were certainly more expensive than the £33 air ticket that just appeared in our 'flights to Wacken Winter Nights' search.

wacken

Wacken Winter Nights is organised by the same team who are responsible for the world's greatest Metal festival, Wacken-Open-Air and the 2018 bill includes Skyclad, Orphaned Land, Elvenking, Finntroll, Grave Digger, Aeverium, Comes Vagantes, Coppelius, Corvus Corax, Die Pressgëng, Elvellon, Heimataerde, Hell-O-Matic, Ignis Fatuu, Ingrimm, Irdorath, Johnny Deathshadow, Krayenzeit, Letzte Instanz, Mr Hurley und die Pulveraffen, Pampatut, Pat Razket, Schandmaul, Sündenrausch, The Aberlour's, The Moon And The Nightspirit, Torfrock, Visions Of Atlantis, Vroudenspil, Wind Rose and more.

Besides this rich billing of superb Metal bands, there is so much more to see in the festival area including the medieval market and also the walking acts and jugglers you will meet at the theme worlds, including Robert Blake, three-time World Cup winner of street magic.

Wacken Winter Nights is something not to be missed and you can check out the amazing ticket and accommodation prices right here.

We just priced up the whole four day trip with hotels, flights, shuttles and festival tickets for less than £300 and we don't think you will get a better value festival than that, anywhere.

MetalTalk recently sat down with Wacken founder and owner Thomas Jensen and that interview will be online next week and it's a fascinating insight into how Wacken originated from nothing to become the world's premiere Heavy Metal event.
