New classic rock outfit Snakecharmer were finally introduced to the industry on December 5th with an intimate launch party, where selected members of the press listened to an exquisite four tracks appetizer, equally split between unforgettable Whitesnake classics and Snakecharmer's own unreleased work.

A special guest appearance with Uriah Heep at London's Shepherds Bush Empire completed the launch on December 8th, introducing the band to the general public.

Among the party's attendees were leading journalists from the BBC, Classic Rock Magazine and Planet Rock as well as cast and musical directors from West End rock shows. They were treated to a playback of newly recorded versions of 'Fool For Your Lovin'' and 'Here I Go Again' and given an exclusive preview of newly penned tracks 'Smoking Gun' and 'Turn Of The Screw'.

The two new songs were not performed at the SBE Show, where a well received selection of Whitesnake hits was greeted with a very enthusiastic, goose-bump-inducing sing along.

Formed by six of UK's most highly-esteemed and experienced rock musicians, Snakecharmer was brought together by original Whitesnake members with elements of some of the UK's top rock bands of all time. Together they offer a feast of twin-guitar based rock the way it's meant to be played.

'Snake's original guitarist Micky Moody and bassist Neil Murray are joined by ex-Wishbone Ash guitarist Laurie Wisefield, Thunder and Magnum drummer Harry James, Ozzy's keyboardist Adam Wakeman and Chris Ousey (Heartland) on lead vocals.

The list of world-class acts that the members of Snakecharmer have collectively played with runs into literally hundreds: Eric Clapton, Tina Turner, Joe Cocker, Jeff Beck, Gary Moore, Magnum, Queen and Paul Rodgers, just to name a few. Neil Murray and Laurie Wisefield have also performed for an audience totalling over 2.5 million in the legendary Queen musical 'We Will Rock You'.

A tribute to the classics from a non-tribute band, next to an array of original songs from a new exciting band: 2012 is up to a promising start with Snakecharmer.
