15.12.11: Unfortunately, Don Airey won't be able to join Saxon after all on Monday as his equipment is not back from the Deep Purple tour...
Biff Byford has today announced that Don Airey (Deep Purple, Jethro Tull, Tony Iommi etc) will join them as special guest at their London show at Koko on 20th December.
Airey will perform on the two tracks that he played keyboards on on Saxon's current album 'Call To Arms', 'Mists Of Avalon' and 'When Doomsday Comes', as well as one or two other songs.

Last week Biff flew from Helsinki to San Francisco to join Metallica for one of their 30th Anniversary shows.
At their London show Saxon celebrate the 30th Anniversary of 'Denim And Leather', when they perform the album in it's entirety. They will also play material from 'Call To Arms' as well as Saxon classics.
Saxon will be selling a special limited edition Union Jack T-Shirt on the UK tour which features the 'Heavy Metal Thunder' cover with the warrior on his horse holding the flag. Fans will be asked to pay £1 extra for the t-shirt, which will be donated to The Help For Heroes Charity.
The band collected over £7,500 for Nordoff Robbins on the last leg of the UK and European tour back in April.
