Home Grown Rock are a non-profit making organisation established to showcase the best of British rock, providing the opportunity for bands to gain exposure without having to pay to play, or sell a vast number of tickets beforehand. In addition, JCF provide essential work experience to event and production management students and have been able to build up an excellent crew to cover every aspect of a show.
The first of their one day events, sponsored by Bloodstock Radio and MetalMouth.net, will take place on Sunday 31st March 2013 and is something that, in the year Home Grown Rock have been operating, owner Lisa Loczy has had her sights on booking:
"Thanks to JCF, my dream's come true. This association allows new talent to get the opportunity to play alongside well known bands, with proceeds supporting more unsigned bands by funding future events, as well as charities.
This event will be raising awareness of bone marrow transplants and the Anthony Nolan fund http://www.anthonynolan.org. Our partnership aims to give back something very special to the local and rock communities"
