American post-hardcore band Escape The Fate have been forced to cancel their UK/European tour last night and have issued the following statement:

"The members of Escape The Fate regret that they will be unable to carry out their touring plans for Europe, including the European run of The Vans Warped Tour and dates with Chiodos.

Vocalist Craig Mabbitt's longtime girlfriend was due to have their second child prior to the band's European run. She is now overdue and Mabbitt can not travel, as he needs to be home, by her side for the birth. The band sends their sincerest apologies to The Warped Tour, Chiodos and especially their European fan contingent and hopes to get to Europe in 2014 to the cities they are missing".

Talking about the reason for cancelling their upcoming tour, Mabbitt himself said "This was not a decision we took lightly nor wished to make. The fact is that Escape The Fate has had a number of challenges recently - with Monte and Michael, with those in whose trust we previously placed our business and with our families.

"But all of these challenges are currently being overcome so Escape The Fate can continue to be a band for many years to come - and to be the best band we can be so this never happens again.

"Nothing is more important to us than our fans and we intend to make it up to all of you. 2013 has been a difficult year for us, but we are confident that we are now poised to make 2014 the best year we've ever had. Your support is so appreciated and means more than you can ever know."

The band's cancelled UK dates are:
Monday 11th November - Waterfront, Norwich
Wednesday 13th November - Queen Margaret Union, Glasgow
Thursday 14th November - O2 Academy 2, Birmingham
Friday 15th November - Academy 2, Manchester
Saturday 16th November - Alexandra Palace (Vans Warped Festival), London

The four regional shows were to be co-headlined with Chiodos as a 'Road To Warped Tour' who are currently trying to reschedule these shows into smaller and more intimate venues, so fans are urged to check their website or social network sites.

Escape the Fate are still set to release the track 'One For The Money' from their latest release, 'Ungrateful' on Monday 11th November, and the official video for the song can be seen here:

Escape The Fate are:
Craig Mabbitt - Vocals
Kevin "Thrasher" Gruft - Lead Guitar
Thomas "TJ" Bell - Rhythm Guitar
Max Green - Bass Guitar
Robert Ortiz - Drums

Here's a fabulous Aerosmith pictorial document as seen through the lens of famed British photographer Tony Mottram. Tony photographed the band over many years for various magazines and now has a monthly column here on MetalTalk.

As was often the case, only one photo ever got published and in the fast moving world of weekly magazines sometimes entire sessions would be done and left undeveloped.

Tony started shooting Aerosmith from towards the end of the period with Jimmy Crespo and Rick Dufay and onwards through the return of original members Joe Perry and Brad Whitford that resulted in the albums 'Done With Mirrors', 'Permanent Vacation' and 'Pump'.

As well as shooting the band several times in England, this collection includes images from a session at the band's rehearsal room in Boston. Littered throughout is a mixture of live and off stage photos including a selection of photos taken at London's famous Marquee club when they were joined on stage by Jimmy Page.

This limited edition hardback book, presented in a flight case and printed on silk paper, is an opportunity to own a unique selection of photos, most of which have never seen the light of day before.

This unique item is presented in an aluminium flight case and will be published in late November. Earlybird subscribers who order by 31st October will have their name printed within a dedicated page in the book.
