Experimental Metal band, The Ocean, have posted the first part of their tour documentary from the bands 2013 'Pelagial World Tour' on their Youtube page.

The documentary follows the band through 'The Summer Slaughter Tour' which included stops in Mexico, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, and Russia, giving an in depth look into what it's like to tour on a worldwide scale as an underground Metal band. The second part will be posted when work on it has been completed.

The Ocean will be returning to North America next month for a co-headline tour with Prosthetic Recording artist Scale the Summit and also includes special guests The Atlas Moth and Silver Snakes.

The tour kicks off on Wednesday 5th March in Seattle Washington and wraps up on Sunday 30th March in Cambridge, Massachusetts and includes two dates at the SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas. The band have also scheduled a handful of dates in Canada in early April.

The Ocean fans will notice a change in the lineup for the upcoming tour as they've added drummer Paul Seidel, and guitarist Damian Murdoch to replace Luc Hess and Jona Nido, who both departed the band on mutual terms late last year.

Live videos have also been made available on the Metal Blade Record Youtube site from 'The Summer Slaughter Tour' stop at the Rave in Milwaukee.

The Ocean's highly anticipated triple-DVD release, 'Collective Oblivion', has also been released and features footage from three different concerts making up twenty one individual song performances.

It also contains a host of extras, including a History of The Ocean (featuring past and present band members), with a running time in excess of two hours, nearly three hours of tour documentaries and live footage filmed in North America, Asia, Russia, Australia, and Europe plus two previously unreleased video clips.

Here's a fabulous Aerosmith pictorial document as seen through the lens of famed British photographer Tony Mottram. Tony photographed the band over many years for various magazines and now has a monthly column here on MetalTalk.

As was often the case, only one photo ever got published and in the fast moving world of weekly magazines sometimes entire sessions would be done and left undeveloped.

Tony started shooting Aerosmith from towards the end of the period with Jimmy Crespo and Rick Dufay and onwards through the return of original members Joe Perry and Brad Whitford that resulted in the albums 'Done With Mirrors', 'Permanent Vacation' and 'Pump'.

As well as shooting the band several times in England, this collection includes images from a session at the band's rehearsal room in Boston. Littered throughout is a mixture of live and off stage photos including a selection of photos taken at London's famous Marquee club when they were joined on stage by Jimmy Page.

This limited edition hardback book, presented in a flight case and printed on silk paper, is an opportunity to own a unique selection of photos, most of which have never seen the light of day before.

This unique item is presented in an aluminium flight case and will be published in late November. Earlybird subscribers who order by 31st October will have their name printed within a dedicated page in the book.
