US pharaohs of technical brutality Nile are heading to UK shores this summer for a string of live dates in June and the band have just announced a date at Audio in Glasgow in addition to their previously announced tour.

Nile released their seventh studio album 'At The Gate Of Sethu' in 2012 via Nuclear Blast.

Vocalist Karl Sanders commented, "This album sends you right into the deepest catacombs and the song structures with their brutal psychological effect will make you want to scream: 'Yeah, that hurts - please beat me again with such merciless intensity!'"

Nile were formed in Greenville, South Carolina in 1993, from the ashes of a previous band Morriah in which Karl Sanders had played since the 80s.

The debut line up of the band released their first EP, 'Festivals of Atonement' in 1995 which lead to a tour support ing acts like Obituary and Deicide.

The album 'At The Gate Of Sethu' album was recorded and produced by Neil Kernon (Queensryche) at Soundlab in Columbia, South Carolina and also in the band's hometown of Greenville which is the first recording to feature new bass player Todd Ellis who joined the band during the recording process.
