Reunited Guns N’ Roses Play Troubador Gig

The reunited Guns N’ Roses played a surprise gig on Friday April 1st at the Troubadour in West Hollywood. It was the first time since 1993 that Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan had performed on stage together.

Tickets cost just $10, the same price it would have cost to have seen Guns N’ Roses back in 1986.

As exclusively revealed by MetalTalk back in January (here), the line up was completed by guitarist Richard Fortus, drummer Frank Ferrer and Dizzy Reed on keyboards with the addition of a second keyboardist in Melissa Reece.

Guns N’ Roses opened their set with ‘It’s So Easy’, just like they did back in their club days. Two songs from ‘Chinese Democracy’ were also included in the set plus an encore cover of The Who’s ‘The Seeker’ which was the first time that Slash and Duff had performed these songs with Axl.
