Saxon, along with Motörhead members Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee, will pay tribute to Lemmy by playing a special one-off set of Motörhead songs at Hammersmith Odeon on Monday June 13th at this year's Golden Gods awards.

Ticket price is a very reasonable £6.66 with all proceeds going to Nordoff Robbins, Teenage Cancer Trust, and Childline. Nordoff Robbins is the charity that delivers music therapy to change the lives of vulnerable children and adults across the UK.

There are more bands to be announced for what promises to be a very special night indeed.

"What we've been keeping secret is that it's going to be headlined by a very special tribute to an incredible man.

"On June 13th Lemmy's friends Saxon along with his old bandmates Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee will take the stage at Hammersmith, and for the the modest door-price of £6.66 you can be there, with proceeds going to Nordoff Robbins, Teenage Cancer Trust, and Childline.

"We've got more bands to announce and I hope to see you all there. Just head to metalhammer.com/awards now and get involved. It's going to be some night."

Hammersmith Odeon pays tribute to Lemmy the day after he passed away...

Saxon frontman Biff Byford told Team Rock: "Lemmy was a great friend and he always supported our band - as we did Motörhead - through ups and downs. We were touring with them when he died, so to be able to honour him at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods is a great opportunity to say goodbye."

Late last night Mikkey Dee was announced as Scorpions drummer and you can read all about it right here.

Phil Campbell has been busy with his forthcoming solo album this year and hits the road with his All Starr Band for a couple of one-offs and a tour in November, as follows.
