27th June 2016

Keep Wednesday July 20th 2016 free in your diaries because that is the date that Motörhead Day has been scheduled for in London.

The event has been organised by John Bingham who states: "20th July has been chosen as it was their first date at the Roundhouse in 1975, hence the venue in Camden. We are meeting at 3.00pm for a drink, to play Motörhead songs and reminisce our Motörhead stories."

The event will take place at Our Black Heart which is located at 2–3 Greenland Place in Camden Town, London, just 100 yards from the Underworld and less than a minute's walk from Motörhead's first record company, Chiswick Records, whose office was originally next door, two doors up from Camden Underground Station.

The Born Again - Heavy Metal Soundhouse DJ's Kayleigh and Michelle will be spinning Motörhead discs all day long between 3.00pm-9.00pm including Motörhead's number one classic live album 'No Sleep 'til Hammersmith' in it's entirety from 7.00pm. There will be more rocking Metal sounds from the 70s and 80s afterwards and through the night until 1.00am.

The event has the full blessing from Motörhead and their official fan club. Spaces at the Black Heart are limited to just 250 people and tickets are completely free but you do need to book your place and you can do that right here.

We're keeping the good name of Lemmy and Motörhead alive here at MetalTalk in our special Lemmy Remembered section which details every news item and review since the band's forty year career came to en end in late December. Check it out right here. There's a lot more to come as well.
