THE DEAD DAISIES AND DAN REED NETWORK CONFIRMED TO HEADLINE FIRST MONSTERFEST
16th April 2018
The Dead Daisies, along with Dan Reed Network, will headline the inaugural Monsterfest, which will take place on November 10th and 11th at Ironworks in Inverness, Scotland.
Also playing this exciting event are Praying Mantis, Blitzkrieg, Altered Sky, Bloodlines, Dougie Burns And The Cadillacs, Beth Blade And The Beautiful Disasters with more bands to be announced later this month.
The event is the brainchild of local organisers Redelk Music and North Highland Events and Redelk director Mark Allison told us:
"The idea came together last year, when we saw a number of small indoor festivals appearing up and down the UK during the winter months.
"But there was a gap left in the Highlands of Scotland.
"We had watched the winter-time festivals but the only other one in Scotland was Winterstorm in Troon.
"Knowing that this part of the world can sometimes get left out for this kind of event, we decided to set about putting something together."
The Dead Daisies first played Inverness five years ago and are currently riding high with new album 'Burn It down' entering the UK charts in it's first week of release a few days ago and the recent UK tour completely sold out. Mark continues:
"The Dead Daisies are a completely different animal compared to their support appearance in 2013.
"The only remaining member is founder David Lowy. They now have former Motley Crue singer John Corabi, and one of the rock world's most sought-after guitarists, Doug Aldrich, known for years as the main player in Whitesnake.
"Marco Mendoza is know well in these parts for playing with both Thin Lizzy and Black Star Riders.
"The newest member of the band is Deen Castronovo who was the drummer in Journey for 20 years.
"In the past four years they have put out three studio albums, there has also been a live album, they have toured the world several times over as well as being the first ever band to play Cuba after Obama relaxed the restrictions.
"It wasn't the Rolling Stones, they did it a year later!"
