thy antichrist

Just when you thought you had seen and heard everything, Thy Antichrist arose last month with the premiere of 'Metal To The Bone', the first release from the US based Black Metallers' forthcoming album and Napalm Records debut, 'Wrath Of The Beast'.

'Wrath Of The Beast' is out tomorrow, Friday 23rd February, and today, 'The Great Beast' is unleashed here on MetalTalk. Here it is, in all it's demonic majesty.

The band say of 'The Great Beast':

"In the name of 'The Great Beast', we invoke the ancient beast that dwells inside of you. The beast that has lived throughout all of human history. Generation after generation. From the forgotten past to this modern time."

Thy Antichrist have been building an important fan base around the world since 1998 and are now thirsting to escape the clutches of the underground. Their appearance at the 2015 edition of 70,000 Tons Of Metal' speaks volumes about their efforts towards this goal and their previous releases are held in high esteem by European experts.

Their music and performance is unique into the Black Metal genre, especially for the new album. The band has handcrafted a sui generis style into the live performance and music respecting the old traditional Metal genres and now it's time for 'Wrath Of The Beast'.

Icy guitar cascades with a distinctive Scandinavian Black Metal character melt into thrashy nuances and progressive insanity. Pure dissonance and seething fury meets experimental songwriting and the end result is a blasphemous gem.

The band explained about previous release, 'Metal To The Bone':

"'Metal To The Bone' is a tribute to all Metal heads around the world. This is how we keep Metal alive! C'mon, raise your horns, because we are Metal to the bone!"
