Battle Beast and Devilment are to play this year's Bloodstock, along with eight other bands who join an already impressive line-up.

Hot from the success of their latest and greatest album, 'Bringer Of Pain', Finland's Battle Beast will headline the Sophie Lancaster stage on Thursday 10th August. Bassist Eero told us:

"We're psyched to be taking on Bloodstock for the first time. We had a great time playing in the UK this spring, and it's really neat to be returning there so soon. Looking forward to seeing all our friends again soon!"

Here's the video for 'Bringer Of Pain', in case you've been living on the moon or in jail and somehow managed to miss it since it was released in February.

Dani Filth's Devilment have also been added to the bill at Catton Park this Summer and will play the Ronnie James Dio main stage on Friday 11th. Dani said:

"Obviously the band are really looking forward to playing the festival, and as an English band it will definitely be an honour to play the main stage on what is tantamount to the best British festival out there.

"Hopefully festival goers will come and check Devilment out; we intend on putting on quite a raucous Heavy Metal spectacle!"

Dani spoke extensively with MetalTalk just after the release of their most recent album, 'Devilment II: The Mephisto Waltzes', and you can check out what he had to say right here. Also, here's the video for 'Hitchcock Blonde'.

Also announced today are eight more bands, all winners of the first 'Metal 2 The Masses' finals. Friday welcomes Coventry winners Devil's Playground, who combine hardcore vocals with power melodies and modern Metalheads Merithian, who took top prize in the Swindon heat.

Also brutalizing Friday are Brighton's Death Metal victors Enslavement and on Saturday, Sheffield champions Ba'al add their blackened doom plus Dublin's top dogs Zhora bring some progressive sludge all the way from Tipperary.

Sunday sees Slovenian doomsters Mist roll in, as part of the band exchange with MetalDays. Originally all-female, the group builds on the legacy of acts like Black Sabbath, Candlemass and Pentagram, as you can hear in 'Phobia' right here:

CD application conquerors Heathen Deity join Sunday from the Midlands. Get into their esoteric lore and absolute blackness via 'Gut The Church' here:

And finally, for now, melodic Death Metallers Shrouded also join Sunday's bill, having clinched first place in Belfast's final.

Bloodstock 2017 headliners are Amon Amarth, Ghost and Megadeth and teh bill also features Blind Guardian, Hatebreed, Testament, Obituary, Brujeria, Whitechapel, Possessed, Hell and Decapitated plus many, many more. Tickets are available right here.
