MetalTalk favourites Cats In Space are delighted to be releasing a live recording, 'Cats Alive!', on 23rd February 2018. The record will be available as a CD, blue heavyweight vinyl and download.

The show was recorded at a particularly raucous night on the band's tour with Thunder earlier this year. As guitarist Greg Hart explains:

"This musical feast was recorded live in front of 4,000 nutty folk at Cardiff Motorpoint Arena. Listen for yourself, but we think we picked the right night to record."

It's been a pretty amazing year so far for Cats In Space, who follow their own headline tour with two mega support slots before 2017 is out, the previously announced slot across the entire Deep Purple UK tour next month and as special guests to Status Quo which you can read more about below.

On top of that, their second album, 'Scarecrow', has been given rave reviews across the board, both home and abroad, with MetalTalk's Mark Taylor saying:

"I can safely say that Cats In Space will yet again top my album of the year list with 'Scarecrow' as they have proved yet again that rock music doesn't have to be filled with political rage or be fast and furious. It can be light and creamy but more essentially full of strong songs complete with melody and memorable tunes.

"The Cats are not here to preach, but to take you on a journey into astral bliss. Out of this world."

'Cats Alive!' captures just one fantastic night but in truth encapsulates everything that this band is about. Every live show and every single radio play brings them new fans – Cats In Space have a fine line in purr-suasion!

And on top of all that, just announced this morning, Friday 17th November, is that the band are about to set off on the road with rock legends Status Quo for their annual Winter tour.

The Cats will be joining The Quo tour on Sunday 26th November at the O2 Apollo in Manchester before hitting eight other stops around the UK including Sheffield, Cardiff, Reading, Bournemouth, Glasgow and Newcastle before finishing up at London's Eventim Apollo on Thursday 8th December.

Speaking of the Status Quo support tour announcement, Greg Hart said:

"We are most thrilled to let you know that hot off the heels of our tour with Deep Purple, we'll be heading straight back out on the road with Status Quo! It's all go...

"The opportunity was too good to miss and we can't wait to finish what's been a truly extraordinary year with some of Britain's finest. Woo Hoo!"
