def leppard

Def Leppard have announced they will return to the road this spring for a three month run across North America. The Live Nation promoted outing will storm through cities across parts of the US and Canada.

This new leg of dates follows the groups massive seventy-plus city 2016 tour and is set to kick off on April 8th in Manchester, NH and wrap on June 25th in Indianapolis, IN. Joining Def Leppard on select dates are Poison and Tesla. Please see full tour routing below. Tickets will go on sale on January 20th and 21st at

The news was broken two days early inadvertently by Eddie Trunk when he was mistakenly sent a press release before it was meant to go out. Def Leppard guitarist Phil Colleen will officially announce the tour tomorrow.

Front man Joe Elliott says: "We're thrilled to be able to take this tour to cities we didn't play in 2016. The demand for us to return, or rather extend the tour, was phenomenal. There's a great buzz around the band right now and we're loving the fact that we can do this with the latest album being so well received."

Joining Def Leppard for the majority of the tour dates will be glam rockers Poison who will feature their original line-up for the first time in five years, including Bret Michaels, CC DeVille, Bobby Dall and Rikki Rockett. Poison have sold over forty million records and are set to perform all their classic greatest hits from their first three albums.

Vocalist Bret Michaels says: "I could not be more excited. I know all of us will give one thousand percent on stage and we are looking forward to performing our hits together. I personally could not be more thankful for the three generations of fans and I love the music of Def Leppard and Tesla. This will be an amazing night of rock'n'roll. Don't wait because God only knows."

Sacremento rockers Tesla will be opening most shows in a mouth watering bill.

Def Leppard will be releasing 'And There Will Be A Next Time – Live From Detroit' on February 10th in partnership with Eagle Rock Entertainment.

Guitarist Phil Collen says: "Our last full concert DVD, excluding 'Viva! Hysteria',was 1987s 'In The Round, In Your Face', which was shot on video. We felt an updated version was way overdue so here it is, the brand new Def Leppard concert experience."

monsters of rock

Monsters Of Rock In Full Flight is strictly limited to 300 worldwide and is available from 30th November but those ordering before 31st October will have their name published within a dedicated page in the book.

It's a deluxe 128 page hardback book in a metal flight case with a narrative by Jerry Bloom.

When promoter Paul Loasby put on the first Monsters Of Rock Festival in 1980 he could probably never have imagined it would become an annual event that would endure for so many years.

Featuring bands from the UK, Germany, Canada and USA, Loasby chose to stage the event at the Donington race circuit in the middle of England and it would prove to be a defining moment for many of the bands on the bill.

Not least for headliners Rainbow as it was the their last ever show to feature drum legend Cozy Powell. As it would happen it turned out to be the last for vocalist Graham Bonnet as well. For many of the other bands on the bill such as Scorpions, Judas Priest and Saxon, they were all on the ascendancy and would soon go on to even greater success.

Now in celebration of this first ever Monsters Of Rock Festival comes this hardback book full of glorious photos of the bands that took to the stage for that inaugural event including back stage shots. Most of these shots have not been published before which add to the uniqueness of this deluxe 128-page book which is packaged in its own flight case.

Also included are stories surrounding the event with tales and recollections from those who were there, including artists and fans alike. Each book will be signed by the author. The 300 will sell fast and definitely go on to become collector's items so order yours now right here to avoid disappointment.
