9th May 2017

Foreigner have rescheduled their four UK dates to May 2018, following unexpected scheduling issues earlier this year.

The legendary band will perform in Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham and for the first time ever, London's esteemed Royal Albert Hall. The dates and venues are as follows:

Saturday 12th May 2018: Manchester, O2 Apollo
Sunday 13th May 2018: Glasgow, Clyde Auditorium
Tuesday 15th May 2018: Birmingham, Symphony Hall
Wednesday 16th May 2018: London, Royal Albert Hall

Tickets are starting to go on sale now right here.

Says Mick Jones:

"I never could have imagined when I set out to create Foreigner forty years ago, that we'd still be touring around the world and performing the music we love all these years later. I can't express the gratitude I feel when fans share stories of how our songs have been woven into their milestones and memories over the years.

"Playing at The Royal Albert Hall has been a childhood dream, as one of my earliest memories was attending a Gustav Holst concert, mesmerized by Sir Malcolm Sargent conducting 'The Planet Suite'. To perform with my band at this iconic venue decades later is a true honour."

Foreigner is a formidable musical arsenal that continues to propel sold-out tours and album sales, with ten multi-platinum albums and sixteen Top 30 hits. Foreigner are one of the most popular rock acts in the world, with album sales now exceeding seventy-five million.

The band recently released a new 10" vinyl four-track EP, 'The Flame Still Burns', and the 40th Anniversary celebrations will continue with the release of a 1CD, 20-track album, '40', on 12th May which contains the band's biggest hits.

This will be followed a week later with a double album of the same name, tracing the four decades long history of Foreigner. This exciting May 19th release will contain new songs as well as all of the much-loved hits. A vinyl version is coming on June 2nd.

Foreigner are:
Mick Jones (lead guitar)
Kelly Hansen (lead vocals)
Jeff Pilson (bass, vocals)
Tom Gimbel (rhythm guitar, sax, vocals)
Michael Bluestein (keyboards)
Bruce Watson (guitar)
Chris Frazier (drums)

monsters of rock

Monsters Of Rock In Full Flight is strictly limited to 300 worldwide and is available from 30th November but those ordering before 31st October will have their name published within a dedicated page in the book.

It's a deluxe 128 page hardback book in a metal flight case with a narrative by Jerry Bloom.

When promoter Paul Loasby put on the first Monsters Of Rock Festival in 1980 he could probably never have imagined it would become an annual event that would endure for so many years.

Featuring bands from the UK, Germany, Canada and USA, Loasby chose to stage the event at the Donington race circuit in the middle of England and it would prove to be a defining moment for many of the bands on the bill.

Not least for headliners Rainbow as it was the their last ever show to feature drum legend Cozy Powell. As it would happen it turned out to be the last for vocalist Graham Bonnet as well. For many of the other bands on the bill such as Scorpions, Judas Priest and Saxon, they were all on the ascendancy and would soon go on to even greater success.

Now in celebration of this first ever Monsters Of Rock Festival comes this hardback book full of glorious photos of the bands that took to the stage for that inaugural event including back stage shots. Most of these shots have not been published before which add to the uniqueness of this deluxe 128-page book which is packaged in its own flight case.

Also included are stories surrounding the event with tales and recollections from those who were there, including artists and fans alike. Each book will be signed by the author. The 300 will sell fast and definitely go on to become collector's items so order yours now right here to avoid disappointment.
