At last, after a gap of several decades, the mighty Grave Digger are confirmed for British shores and an appearance at HRH Metal in Birmingham in February 2018. England's second city will be well and truly healed by Metal.

This HRH Metal is easily the best yet and will be held at O2 Academy, Birmingham between 17th and 18th February 2018. It will bring together more Metal than the Mines of Moria and forges in Asgard combined, and boasts a truly talent-packed line-up.

HRH boss Jonni Davis enthusiastically told us:

"Metal has always been part of our lives here at HRH and we listen to our community to make sure we choose the acts the fans want to hear. This year's HRH Metal line-up is proof of that."

Top of the bill are the one and only Alestorm, the leading purveyors of Pirate Metal. They'll be bringing their vibrant piratical sound to HRH Metal which is ideal for reeling, carousing, chanting and raiding any galleons that happen to be passing, which is unlikely to happen in central Birmingham.

German Heavy Metal masters Grave Digger are famed for their up-tempo, ballsy tunes with heavy power riffs and as mentioned, it's been way too long since they last played on British soil. Grave Digger mainman Chris Boltendahl was special guest on Steve Göldby Talks Metal recently and you can hear the whole conversation right here.

Captain Christopher Bowes was also special guest on Steve Göldby Talks Metal recently and you can hear the whole conversation right here.

Other great bands announced for HRH Metal include Evil Scarecrow, Memoriam, Elvenking, Power Quest, Haerken, Fury, Attica Rage, Desert Storm, Ballsdeep, Monument, Kaine, Cypher 16, Collibus, Fire Red Empress, Gravil, Warcrab, Footprints In The Custard, Dakesis, Lifer, Torous, Sister Shotgun, Skarthia, Elimination, Nightmare World, Trivax, Ironrat, The Mighty Wraith, Vice, Incinery, Metaprism, The Face of Ruin, Sodomized Cadaver, XIII, Masters Call, Wrath Of The Gods, Ashen Crown, and Devils Playground.

That's a whole lot of Metal and easily the best bill we have seen for 2018 so far.
