SAXON AND BLACK STAR RIDERS TO SUPPORT JUDAS PRIEST ON 'FIREPOWER' US TOUR

Judas Priest's first 2018 tour dates were announced yesterday and now, in what is bound to be one of the biggest draws of the year, Saxon and Black Star Riders have been added to the bill.

'Firepower' will be the name of Priest's forthcoming new album, which is set for release in early 2018 and the 'Judas Priest: Firepower 2018 Tour' will kick off on March 13th in Pennsylvania and wrap up on May 1st in Texas.

All dates will be running a Judas Priest Fan Presale starting this Wednesday, October 25th 2017, at 10.00am local time with the password: FIREPOWER that fans can use to purchase tickets in advance. Check the local venue for additional information.

European dates are expected to be available in the not-too-distant but whether Saxon and Black Star Riders are also on the European bill remains to be seen.

Saxon have announced some European festival date after the Priest US tour, including Germany's Rock Hard festival in May and Spain's Leyendas del Rock Festival in August.

Priest were recently announced for both Wacken and Bloodstock festivals for 2018. The Metal icons are one of the most-requested bands by the Bloodstock's loyal fan base and have been hot favourites to play Catton Park for some years now. They will finally make their Bloodstock debut on Friday night, 10th August 2018.

The band commented when their Bloodstock appearance was announced:

"Judas Priest are thrilled, honoured and primed, ready to unleash Priest-style Metal fury into the headbanging heart and home of Heavy Metal at Bloodstock 2018!"

Gojira were previously announced as Saturday night headliners and Nightwish as Sunday headliners.
