The Raven Age will play a string of headline shows around the UK in October as part of a European tour.

The hotly tipped Londoners played a rousing set at Download Festival in June and were a big feature of last year's Bloodstock Festival and you should check out the video for their latest single, 'The Dying Embers Of Life', taken from their debut album 'Darkness Will Rise', as well as previous single, 'Salem's Fate'.

Support bands will be announced in due course and tickets go on sale this Friday at 10.00am and can be picked up at theravenage.com/tour.

The full UK & Irish dates are as follows:

Monday 23rd October: Glasgow, The Garage Attic
Tuesday 24th October: Manchester, Star & Garter
Wednesday 25th October: Birmingham, O2 Institute 3
Thursday 26th October: London, Boston Music Rooms
Saturady 28th October: Bristol, Louisiana
Monday 30th October: Dublin, Academy 2
Tuesday 31st October: Belfast, Limelight 2

The band have also confirmed that Tony Maue will be their new guitarist, taking over from Dan Wright who is, in true Angela Gossow style, taking over as full time manager.

Dan told us:

"I am happy to confirm that Tony Maue is officially taking over my performing role as guitarist in The Raven Age. With the band doing so well and moving from strength to strength, I have decided to make managing The Raven Age my full-time role. This will allow me to focus on delivering the most exciting experiences for our fans and help the band to explore new opportunities.

"When we created The Raven Age, we never imagined that we'd achieve half of what we have so far. Tony's addition to the line-up is now allowing me to focus my time on growing the band that I love. The band is in the best possible position and we are all excited for what the future holds."
