2nd June 2017

Saxon played U Rock Festival in Umea, Sweden last night, Thursday 1st June, and now stranded in Scandinavia after someone broke into their dressing room and stole their passports.

Saxon Management have out out this statement:

"If you are the person who broke into the Saxon dressing room at U Rock Festival in Umea, Sweden tonight - please return phones, passports, wallets - NO QUESTIONS ASKED.

"Or if you know this person please turn in.

"The band needs these things for travel home.

"It was a great show tonight - we know this does not represent our fans there."

At the time of writing, this is all the information we currently have but there will almost certainly be an update in the not-too-distant so stay posted.

And if you have any information whatsoever, however small you may think it is, please contact us by clicking here and we'll forward your message onto Saxon straight away.

And if you are the person who broke into Saxon's dressing room, you are well advised to take up the band's offer of 'no questions asked' because if this was left to the Gods Of Heavy Metal to deal with instead, no way would you get off so lightly.

Börje Öhman, communications officer at the police regional command center in Umeå told local newspaper Västerbottens-Kuriren.

"A notification of theft has been prepared but we have no one in custody at this time."
