Hard rockers Thyrant from southern Spain released their eight song debut album, 'What We Left Behind...', in May and today their brand new video for track number two from this excellent opus is premiering right here on MetalTalk.

Here is 'Endless Hunt', for your enjoyment.

There is always a story behind any band and this story started with a bunch of guys from local bands who ended up playing together after twenty years of friendship. This is a good luck story, a mix of coincidences and being in the right place at the right time.

Thyrant were formed in the summer of 2015, still without a name, just an idea and some riffs and five guys playing together for the first time in a city where everyone knows everybody else. It took nine months for them to fill the rehearsal room with a concept and create a full album ready to go to the Artesonao music studio and embrace the mountains of Malaga with earth, wind and fire for the last ten days of May 2016.

The album navigates through despair, from gloom and doom vibes, up to a more strong and powerful kind of Metal, technical and prog but also safe into more classic Metal and rock. Not a Death Metal act in essence, but most of the vocals are pure Death Metal style. Not a classic rock band, but the 80s double guitars and melodies in addition to the ferocity and power of the bass and drum rhythm are classic rock and Metal. Not a thrash Metal band in essence either, but a track like 'E.O.S.' is a 100% thrashy-catchy song.

Not a black Metal band at all, but there is some old evil spirit surrounding the most epic side of the band a-la Bathory on 'Carving The Throne', or the most contemporary vibes of BM on 'Delusion' or 'Hard Boiling'.

The band collectively told us:

"'What We Left Behind...' clearly reflects all of our misery, pain and shame, but also our development, love and passion witnessed within this short period of time.

"Life can be tough, but also a nice travel companion, a dream within a dream, coming to fruition in the midst of so much misery. Just like music.

"From Maiden to Priest, from Enslaved to Obituary, from Carcass to Slayer, our heroes have accompanied us on this journey; they helped us to face the Thyrant. It must have a horrible face, just like us."

Monsters Of Rock In Full Flight is strictly limited to 300 worldwide and is available from 30th November but those ordering before 31st October will have their name published within a dedicated page in the book.

It's a deluxe 128 page hardback book in a metal flight case with a narrative by Jerry Bloom.

When promoter Paul Loasby put on the first Monsters Of Rock Festival in 1980 he could probably never have imagined it would become an annual event that would endure for so many years.

Featuring bands from the UK, Germany, Canada and USA, Loasby chose to stage the event at the Donington race circuit in the middle of England and it would prove to be a defining moment for many of the bands on the bill.

Not least for headliners Rainbow as it was the their last ever show to feature drum legend Cozy Powell. As it would happen it turned out to be the last for vocalist Graham Bonnet as well. For many of the other bands on the bill such as Scorpions, Judas Priest and Saxon, they were all on the ascendancy and would soon go on to even greater success.

Now in celebration of this first ever Monsters Of Rock Festival comes this hardback book full of glorious photos of the bands that took to the stage for that inaugural event including back stage shots. Most of these shots have not been published before which add to the uniqueness of this deluxe 128-page book which is packaged in its own flight case.

Also included are stories surrounding the event with tales and recollections from those who were there, including artists and fans alike. Each book will be signed by the author. The 300 will sell fast and definitely go on to become collector's items so order yours now right here to avoid disappointment.
