EXCLUSIVE WORLD PREMIERE: UNLEASH THE ARCHERS REVEAL STUNNING NEW VIDEO FOR 'CLEANSE THE BLOODLINES'
7th April 2017

unleash the archers

Unleash The Archers have emerged from the studio with an epic piece of work, their upcoming new album, 'Apex', which will be released on June 2nd 2017 via Napalm Records.

'Apex' marks the tenth anniversary of the Canadian Metallers formation and today we are premiering the first release from 'Apex', the stunning 'Cleanse The Bloodlines' which is track four on the album. So here it is - stand up, put it on full screen, turn it right up and enjoy!

Frontlady Brittney Slayes told us:

"We are beyond stoked to finally debut a track from the new album, and this song was unanimously chosen as the first single by the whole band, no question.

"It's a heavy song so we we wanted a heavy video, and we think that Richard (Olak, director) did an incredible job of capturing the essence of the album perfectly.

"It was a brutal two days of filming in zero degree weather, but it was worth it, and we think it turned out well. Hopefully our fans agree and enjoy hearing the track as much as we enjoy playing it!"

Brittney also told us back in mid-March when details of 'Apex' were first revealed:

"We are extremely excited to release another full on concept album; it's just so much fun to play out a story when you're up on stage.

"This one has a protagonist that we call 'The Immortal' being forced to serve the antagonist, a.k.a. 'The Matriarch' as she embarks down a very dark path to achieve immortality.

"We had a great time writing this record, and I think the cohesiveness of the story has really shone through in the music as well. It has a certain vibe throughout, from beginning to end, and we can't wait to hear what our fans have to say about the direction this album has taken.

"We don't like to write the same record over and over again and we are very happy with the progression of our sound on 'Apex'. We think it will appeal to all of our fans old and new; it has the best parts of our past albums combined into one with just a little more spit and polish."

Ken Sarafin created the picturesque album artwork for 'Apex' and told us:

"This album takes nerves of steel; from its opener, 'Awakening', to the title track that closes the album, the listener will partake in a furious adventure, weaving through elements of the strongest Metal genres of our time.

"You'll be guided by the shimmering heat of sweeping lead guitars, face-melting solos, deafening growls, pummeling bass lines and of course the thrilling hooks of Brittney Slayes' Queen-size voice."

MONSTERS OF ROCK IN FULL FLIGHT SURE TO BECOME FUTURE COLLECTOR'S ITEM

monsters of rock

Monsters Of Rock In Full Flight is strictly limited to 300 worldwide and is available from 30th November but those ordering before 31st October will have their name published within a dedicated page in the book.

It's a deluxe 128 page hardback book in a metal flight case with a narrative by Jerry Bloom.

When promoter Paul Loasby put on the first Monsters Of Rock Festival in 1980 he could probably never have imagined it would become an annual event that would endure for so many years.

Featuring bands from the UK, Germany, Canada and USA, Loasby chose to stage the event at the Donington race circuit in the middle of England and it would prove to be a defining moment for many of the bands on the bill.

Not least for headliners Rainbow as it was the their last ever show to feature drum legend Cozy Powell. As it would happen it turned out to be the last for vocalist Graham Bonnet as well. For many of the other bands on the bill such as Scorpions, Judas Priest and Saxon, they were all on the ascendancy and would soon go on to even greater success.

Now in celebration of this first ever Monsters Of Rock Festival comes this hardback book full of glorious photos of the bands that took to the stage for that inaugural event including back stage shots. Most of these shots have not been published before which add to the uniqueness of this deluxe 128-page book which is packaged in its own flight case.

Also included are stories surrounding the event with tales and recollections from those who were there, including artists and fans alike. Each book will be signed by the author. The 300 will sell fast and definitely go on to become collector's items so order yours now right here to avoid disappointment.
