22nd July 2016

Edition four of Cum On Feel The Newz adds up to lots of listening time, just with the videos in here. Maybe next week we will add up the total listening time but for now...

Let's do this...

Ministry mainman Al Jourgensen's new project, Surgical Meth Machine, recently released their debut album via Nuclear Blast Records and now the band have released a lyric video for the song 'Rich People Problems' which was recorded primarily at Jourgensen's home studio in Burbank, California with his longtime engineer Sam D'Ambruoso.

Dutch Doom Death Metal pioneers Asphyx are ready to announce their new studio album release, following up on 2012s acclaimed 'Deathhammer'. The new album is entitled 'Incoming Death' and will be released worldwide on September 30th 2016 via Century Media Records.

Upon release, 'Deathhammer' entered the official sales charts in Germany on position # 67 and amazingly ranked as Album Of The Month in the German publications Rock Hard Magazine, Heavy Magazine and also Legacy Magazine. A video for the album's title track 'Deathhammer', shot by Maurice Swinkels/Younique Film (Exodus, Masterplan, Kataklysm, etc.), can be viewed here:

Tribulation's 2009 debut album 'The Horror' will be re-released on vinyl on August 19th via Century Media Records. This new version will come with gatefold cover (printed on inside out cardboard), A2 poster, LP-size booklet (similar to the 7" size booklet of the original version) and 180 g vinyl. Next to the black vinyl version, there will be a selection of different vinyl colours available:

Legendary rock torchbearers Gov't Mule will release a new archival album entitled The Tel-Star Sessions on August 5th 2016 via Provogue/Mascot Label Group. The album consists of the band's very first, and never-before-released, demos made in June 1994 at Tel-Star Studios in Bradenton, Florida. These newly mixed and mastered recordings feature the original line-up – Warren Haynes, Allen Woody and Matt Abts – and capture the rawness and excitement of the earliest days of Gov't Mule.

This was originally intended to be the band's debut album, but was subsequently shelved until now. These ten songs will be available digitally and as a single CD, as well as 180-gram double-vinyl set including a limited edition version with different artwork and splatter vinyl.

Northern metal quintet Sworn Amongst are pleased to announce their return to the road this summer. They will hit the UK this August, joined with technical metal quartet Cambion for a run of dates to continue promoting their incredible new album 'Under A Titan Sky'. Montreal based deathcore pioneers, Despised Icon, will release their Nuclear Blast debut, 'Beast', on July 22nd and the band have now released a music video for the track 'Bad Vibes', directed by Jessy Fuchs of Slam Disques (Obey The Brave, Simple Plan).

"We've often been vocal about the classic death metal bands that have influenced us throughout the years but have rarely discussed the grindcore and hardcore elements in our music," states vocalist Alex Erian. "Our new single 'Bad Vibes' is raw, straight forward and reminiscent of bands like Napalm Death, Brutal Truth, Biohazard, and Madball. The 90s were a defining decade for us and so we opted for that old school look when putting together this new music video."

Midway through a busy summer of festivals and having already played Slam Dunk and Camden Rocks, Zebrahead have revealed another video from their latest full length album 'Walk The Plank'. Watch the video for 'Who Brings A Knife To A Gunfight' below. The video was filmed in venues across the UK and Germany on recent tours.

Ben from Zebrahead told us: "Super excited for everyone to see the creepy new video for 'Who Brings A Knife To A Gunfight'! We had a blast filming this in venues throughout Germany and the U.K. We pulled out our giant bag of tricks and costumes for this one. Hope you enjoy!!"

They break the rules, reinvent themselves with every album and are considered to be Gothenburg's brightest metal pearl - since the early 90s, In Flames have delivered a spectacular progression which has seen them transform their sound from classic melodic death metal to their current modern and unique style. The Swedes never cease to challenge their artistic boundaries, and on September 23rd, the band will be releasing an impressive demonstration of their current live expertise on DVD – 'Sounds From The Heart Of Gothenburg'.

Here's the teaser to the first 'Making Of' here:

Birmingham based Prog-Metallers Terraform's new single from their debut EP 'Adrift' came out on 15th July and their new video for 'Atonement' was revealed last week. Here it is:

Finnish extreme metal band Beating Dead Meat have signed to Inverse Records. The band released their debut album 'A Rude Awakening' in 2015 and it is released digitally on all essential services now via inverse Records. The band have announced that they'll enter the studio and will release the second album later this year also via inverse Records.

The band comments: "The purpose is to make more varied album compared to our debut album and maybe bring more diversity in this existing profusion of thrash and melodic death metal. We are very excited with our collaboration with Inverse Records. Everything works on both sides and we believe that an upcoming album will get the attention it deserves."

Brijitte West And The Desperate Hopefuls return with their brand new (Pledge-funded) album, 'From NY With Love'. Says Brijitte: "It's exciting for me to feel that the fans have been part of the process of making this record. My fans mean so much to me. Their support has been fantastic, and we are delighted to have exceeded our funding target."

Brijitte is joined by Richie Hudson and Keef Gibbs, who share writing credits on some of the tracks. They are joined by multi -talented drummer Robin Guy, who's influence Brijitte feels really takes the band's music to the next level: "It's that Anglo-American combination that makes our sound unique. "The majority of my writing is autobiographical and these are some of my most personal songs to date. Of course I do draw inspiration from other sources too, you can't help but be affected by both the horror and the beauty of our modern world.

"There are still some fun punky-pop numbers but be prepared for the unexpected! This is my proudest moment as an artist. I feel like this record ties up loose ends and has allowed me to wear both my punk-rock and Americana heart on my sleeve."

Soilwork have released the first 'Inside Death Resonance' video trailer in which singer Björn "Speed" Strid talks about the band's upcoming special collection of rarities. 'Death Resonance' is out on August 19th 2016 via Nuclear Blast:

And here's the official visualiser for 'These Absent Eyes':

The song was originally released on the Japan-only EP 'Beyond The Infinite' which featured more songs from the recordings sessions for the band's globally praised double album 'The Living Infinite'.
