29th July 2016

Edition five of Cum On Feel The Newz is a Heavy one this week and that's because of all the Metal in it...

Let's do this...

Sweden's Suicide By Tigers are to release their self-titled debut album as CD, Vinyl and digital on September 2nd 2016 via Smilodon Records/Sound Pollution. The album was recorded, mixed and mastered by Berno Paulsson (The Haunted, Amon Amarth, Spiritual Beggars) at Berno Studio, Malmö. The video for the song 'Vicious Malicious' can be viewed here:

Shvpes can now reveal that their debut album, 'Pain. Joy. Ecstasy. Despair', will be released on October 14th via Search and Destroy/Spinefarm Records.

The album was produced by Carl Bown and Jim Pinder (While She Sleeps, Trivium, Bullet For My Valentine), and features both 'God Warrior' and 'False Teeth'. These first two tracks to be revealed from the forthcoming album have now been joined by a third, 'Two Minutes Of Hate' – released as an official single with supporting music video. Watch it here:

Shvpes frontman, Griffin, says: "As a concept, this album is about finding the beauty in whatever situation you're in. Your ability to feel pain and to feel despair is ultimately what allows you to embrace the feeling of joy or ecstasy. It's like yin and yang. 'Pain. Joy. Ecstacy. Despair.' gave me a platform to expel 24 years' worth of frustration and turn it into something positive; something I can be proud of and something, I hope, the listener can find solace in.

"From our eclectic musical influences to the incredibly personal, vulnerable, yet empowering lyrical content, we've managed to create something that is perfectly in balance with our own musical tastes. To be able to put out our most honest work to date, at this point, is a dream come true. There really is something for everyone on this record and we can't wait for you all to hear it!"

Revocation's sixth full-length, 'Great Is Our Sin', was released last week, and now the band have launched a new video for the album track 'Arbiters Of The Apocalypse'. The video was directed by David Brodsky and produced by Allison Woest.

Crossfaith have revealed a video for brand new track 'Rx Overdrive' which is taken from the forthcoming mini EP 'New Age Warriors'. Check out the video here:

Frontman Ken told us: "Welcome to the new era! It's time to get wild. We are the New Age Warriors, and you can see the future of Crossfaith with our new songs. We're so excited about bringing out more new music to you guys, so get ready!"

Crossfaith were recently announced as this year's Edinburgh Metal Party headliners, appearing on the bill above Hacktivist, Certain Death and Dead Lies. The band will also be appearing at this years Reading and Leeds festivals.

Orillia, ON's deviant melodic math metallers Like Animals will be continuing their Eastern Canadian Tour of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Quebec and Ontario after bassist Myke Caouette suffered injuries from a high speed collision that occurred a few weeks ago and caused his vehicle to burst into flames, forcing him to pull himself out of the wreck. Caouette's injuries aren't life threatening but will need time to heal as he endured a fractured ankle, shattered kneecap, broken femur and sprained ribs.

"I'm happy to be alive, but sad not be on the road with my brothers in LA. I want to thank everyone for their well wishes and I'm glad to be out of hospital. Please support the band along with our touring mates (U) The Band. I will be back on the road for our Western Canadian tour in October." says Caouette, who will be replaced by bassist Rufus Cavan of (U) The Band who will be performing double duty for both bands on the Eastern Canadian tour.

Gunn also released his thoughts on King 810's new body of work in this recent video.

Following their swagger oozing live debut at Ramblin' Man Festival 2016, illustr8ors has been confirmed as guests on Toseland's UK tour this autumn.

The former World Superbikes Champion's band have just completed a European tour with Deep Purple.

illustr8ors will release their self-titled debut EP on 14th October and here's lead single 'Your Animal':

Polish band Guitar Force and Finnish record label Inverse Records have inked a deal and the new album 'Different Universe' is released September 16th 2016.

Guitar Force were founded in 2007 by Marcin Habaj – a guitarist, a composer and lyrics author.

RES 9 Management along with Mascot Label Group is pleased to announce that Rik Emmett and his new band, RESolution9, have just delivered an album of 11 brand new rockers as part of a multi-album, worldwide deal. The album, entitled RES 9, is tentatively slated to be released through Mascot Label Group in November 2016.

The members of RESolution9 are from Rik's touring quartet: Dave Dunlop on guitar, Steve Skingley on bass, and Paul DeLong on drums, with Dave and Steve co-producing the project. Additionally, legendary guitarist Alex Lifeson of Rush performs on two stellar tracks, with James LaBrie of Dream Theater contributing extraordinary guest vocals on two cuts as well.

Rik says: "I'm really happy and grateful that Mascot Label Group gave our band complete freedom, and trusted us to do our best. Some might see this as a comeback record, but I'm really proud of the vitality the band generated. For me, it's always about the songwriting - how the melodies and sonic landscapes capture the storytelling."

February 2016; Enter Shikari head out on a tour of the UK, taking in some of the biggest venues they have ever headlined in their decade-long career and in the DIY fashion that the band have become synonymous with, the video screen content and programming for the front of house quadrophonic audio system has all been created and slaved over for months by the band themselves.

The resulting 30 minute mini-documentary mixes beautifully shot and edited live footage, behind the scenes access, and candid interviews with the band; following them from the tour's production rehearsals right through to its conclusion at a sold out show at London's 9000 capacity Alexandra Palace. Here's the film in full.

Cover Your Tracks will release 'Fever Dream', their debut album, on September 9th. The first song revealed from Fever Dream is 'Bellow' which you can listen to here.

Guitarist Magana told us: "This album is exactly what we wanted it to be, with no restrictions, so to get this far and then have Epitaph on board means the world to us. We've been working at this for quite some while, so to finally break through and have some success is amazing. We hope people will appreciate this record as much as we enjoyed writing it."
