Equilibrium released their current studio album, 'Armageddon', on August 12th through Nuclear Blast and once more, the band entered the European charts at high positions (#5 Germany, #11 Switzerland, #20 Austria). As a Christmas present to their loyal fanbase and to show their gratitude for all the support they enjoyed in 2016, the band have launched a new music video, including live footage from this year's Armageddon Tour, for 'Rise Again' today. The video is edited by bass player Makki.

The album is reviewed here and you can find out what went down when Equlibrium played London in October right here.

Amorphis recently played special shows (An Evening With Friends @ Juhlaviikot - Huvila) in Helsinki, where they performed a very special setlist with guest musicians and friends. These shows will be part of the new tour edition the band is announcing today. This package includes the entire album 'Under The Red Cloud' with two bonus songs as well as the live tracks in Helsinki.

"We were honoured to take part in the Helsinki Festival in Huvila, so therefore we wanted to do something special for that particular night," states guitarist Tomi Koivusaari. "The gig itself happened in a large tent in the very center of Helsinki on a late summer evening. The Huvila-tent has quite long history, so there was already some excitement in the air beforehand. We wanted to invite some guests to be featured on that show - musicians we already had worked with during these years and musicians we have a huge respect for, so Sakari Kukko, Pekko Käppi and Anneke van Giersbergen joined us on that evening with friends. Originally, Aleah Starbridge was supposed to join as well, as she sang on the 'Under The Red Cloud' album, but sadly she passed away before that. It was surely a night to remember!"

Sepultura will unleash their upcoming studio album, 'Machine Messiah', on January 13th through Nuclear Blast. With their new music video 'Phantom Self' they provide another thrilling look into their fourteenth studio release, delivering haunting images and sociocultural criticism in this clip directed by Mauricio Eça.

"'Phantom Self' starts with a short intro based on the Brazilian rhythm 'Maracatú', originally from the Northeast region of Brazil", explains mastermind Andreas Kisser. "We mixed this very Brazilian sound with violins performed by a Tunisian violin ensemble, the Myriad Orchestra. This was a suggestion from Jens Bogren, the producer of the album, who worked with this orchestra before and he thought it could be a nice combination. We used the violins on different parts of the song and that opened a lot of new possibilities, specially for my guitar parts, it was great to have that conversation between guitar and violins making the part even more special.

It’s a very heavy song, with a lot of groove, one of the most complete songs we ever worked with and it’s taking Sepultura to a new level!"

In September, Finnish folk Metal superstars, Korpiklaani, released their single titled 'FC Lahti,' to show their support for their local football team. After touring Europe and Russia extensively during the last months, the band presents the lyric video for the track today. Watch the clip which bases on material from Korpiklaani's appearance at this year's Masters Of Rock in the Czech Republic.

Legendary New Jersey thrashers, Overkill, recently announced their upcoming eighteenth album, 'The Grinding Wheel', which will be released on February 10th 2017 via Nuclear Blast. Today the band unleash their new lyric video for 'Mean, Green, Killing Machine'.

And listen to the wise words of lead vocalist Bobby 'Blitz' Ellsworth: "Let's keep this rolling, 'Mean, Green, Killing Machine', the opening track - brand new, from us to you! Bang thy head."

HMS Keelhaul from Finland have released a music video, 'Fall To The Floor'. The track is taken from their debut album which was released December 9th 2016 by Inverse Records. The band was founded in 2013 and they are known for their nautical theme, in case you hadn't already guessed.

Asher Media Relations are proud to present the next volume of its annual holiday sampler, 'Happy Metal Annihilation Vol.6'. The compilation features over forty tracks and nearly four hours of mosh pit ready tunes from bands Asher Media Relations has worked with during 2016. Tracks range from Metal, rock and all sub-genres in-between. Get ready to annihilate your holiday fun!

Bobby Shoebotham has released 'Drown' from his upcoming EP which is due for relase on 13th January 2017. It's the first track Bobby recorded for the EP, and as such is probably the most stylistically close to his punk rock roots on the release. Apparently he recorded the drums in about an hour and the guitars in slightly less, and you can almost hear the grimy walls of the basement he recorded it in as a palpable presence in the track itself.

Describing the inspiration for the track he says: "I wrote this song at work in about half an hour during a fairly ethically sticky period of my life. It's essentially about getting to a certain passage of time and realising you're not really who you wanted to be when you were young, and actually almost definitely would have been disgusted if your younger self could see you now.

Here's Zeal & Ardor's first video from their 'Devil Is Fine' album, an eerie affair for the project's title track, directed by Samuel Morris. Building off of the album's inspiration from music that soundtracked American slavery, a young man is chained between two trees, jerking his way back-and-forth. From the tree, he stares into a bird bath that shows the image of angelic figures transforming into demons.

Code Orange have premiered 'Kill The Creator', the second track to be released from their anticipated new LP, 'Forever'. Created by Brandon Allen Bolmer, the 'Kill The Creator' visual embodies the vengeance of a grim retribution. Bolmer states: "Locked in a kill room, a man takes a merciless beating from the hellish force that he created from all the wrong he has done."

Firewind, the group led by guitar-wizard and Ozzy Osbourne band member Gus G, are releasing their eighth studio album, 'Immortals', on January 20th 2017 via the band's longtime label partner Century Media Records in Europe.

In order to give you a next preview teaser for the upcoming album, a bombastic video clip, which was produced by the iCODE Team (Kamelot, Devin Townsend Project, Moonsorrow, etc.), as well as a digital single for the album track 'Ode To Leonidas' are being launched today. Gus told us: "As many of you have found out by now, our new album 'Immortals' is a concept and focusing on the battles of Thermopylae and Salamis. The song 'Ode To Leonidas' is obviously about the legendary warrior King of Sparta and his heroic battle with his 300 brave men against the massive Persian army invaders.

"For the production of the clip we traveled to Belgrade, Serbia and filmed with iCode team (same team that directed my solo video 'The Quest' and so many other great bands) and we're really amazed by the end result. It's truly epic! We hope you will enjoy too. Heavy Metal fans - unite!"

Ex Deo have premiered 'The Rise Of Hannibal', the first song from their upcoming third album, 'The Immortal Wars'. Now Italian blooded frontman Maurizio Iacono and his converted Gauls from French Canada send the first strike from 'The Immortal Wars'.

Ex Deo spread the word of Rome and state: "People of Rome, there is a threat looming from Carthage, a force has awakened and we most stop the rise of Hannibal. The soundtrack to ancient Rome is here, you have waited so long... Raise your Gladius in pride!"

Spinefarm Records is pleased to welcome Orange County, California band Dayseeker to its worldwide roster. The band formed in 2012 and went on to release a pair of albums through InVogue Records. Their debut, 'What It Means To Be Defeated', dropped in 2013, while its follow-up, 'Origin', landed in 2015.

Dayseeker vocalist Rory Rodriguez shared his excitement about the band's new label home and about their future material: "It's an honour to be working with a team who truly believes in our collective vision as a band. We've never felt more confident and excited for what the future holds for us than we do right now. This will absolutely be our best album to date and we can't wait to share it with the world."

In January, Dayseeker will enter the studio with producer Josh Schroeder (King 810, The Plot In You, Ghost Bath). In the meantime, watch and share this preview video

Emmure have announced that their new album, titled 'Look At Yourself', is expected to see an early 2017 release. The band's follow up to the 2014 full-length 'Eternal Enemies' is their first with SharpTone Records and will see them touring throughout North America building up to the release.

To give listeners a taste of what they can expect from 'Look At Yourself', Emmure have released brand new track, 'Russian Hotel Aftermath' today - having recently released new track 'Torch'. Here's both tracks from the new record.

New York death Metallers Immolation will release their new album, 'Atonement', on February 24th via Nuclear Blast Records. Today, the band have launched the first single, 'Destructive Currents', via a 360º video which you can see below.

Comments vocalist/bassist Ross Dolan: "We are excited that everyone will finally get a preview of what the new record has to offer. 'Atonement' is a very dark and haunting album both musically and lyrically, commenting on the darker side of humanity and the world today. Each song on this album is unique in its own way, offering the listener a wide range of dark and sinister passages that I think really hone in on all the elements that make this band what it is."

Mutiny Within are back with their most ambitious and best album to date. This is the band's third full length album, entitled 'Origins'. The band spent all of 2016 writing and recording brand new music. Confirmed release date will be February 10th 2017. The first single is now released, entitled 'Archetype Of Destruction'.

Bassist Andrew Jacobs told us: "At the end of last year, we found some old demos we thought had been lost, which led to a discussion about putting together an EP. We planned on releasing the demos along with a couple of new songs but once we got started, we had more and more ideas for new songs and the plan quickly evolved into making an EP of brand new tracks. Our fans have stuck by us through so much and as we kept working we felt we were selling them short with just an EP, so we pushed on and turned it into a full album. We've now been in the studio for almost a year and have put together what we think are our best songs to date."
