Polish Folk Metallers Open Access have released the official video for the song 'When The Wild Things Are Gone' which is taken from their upcoming album 'Towards The Wilderness'.

We should have a release date for the album soon but in the meantime, Open Access received their first ever UK radio airplay in The Folk Metal Edition of Steve Göldby Talks Metal on 8th February which you can listen to right here.

Rainbreakers are pleased to announce the release of their highly anticipated second EP "Rise Up" on Friday 7th April. The 5-track EP was recorded at Purple Door Studios with highly acclaimed producer Robin Andrews (Conduct, Samplephonics, Blu Mar Ten Records).

Rainbreakers, a four piece outfit from Shrewsbury, have been hailed as one of the freshest new sounds in the UK blues rock and soul circuit. The band have developed a distinctive sound that embodies a fusion of dynamic musical elements that bridges the gap between Blues, Rock and Soul.

Thrash pioneers Anthrax, currently on the road with 'Among The Kings', their first UK/European headline tour in more than a decade, will chronicle the frenzy with a live DVD expected to be released later this year (Megaforce).

With the energy level through the roof, Anthrax's show was filmed last night at Glasgow's historic venue Barrowland. Seventeen cameras, including five Go-Pros and a full-size camera crane, captured more than two hours of favourites that were voted onto the evening's set list by fans and included 'Madhouse', 'Be All, End All', 'Breathing Lightning' and 'A.I.R.'.

This was followed by the classic 1987 album 'Among The Living' performed from start to finish. In addition to the live footage, the DVD will include "fly-on-the-wall" interviews and other B-roll shot on the band's tour bus, backstage, in hotels and elsewhere.

The DVD is being produced and directed by Paul Green of the Manchester, UK-based Paul Green Productions who has filmed concerts for Opeth, The Damned, Gary Numan, The Levellers, and many others.

Meditative dark trance/ambient/shamanic act Shibalba, has launched a video trailer, directed by Sebastian Dorner and Anna Apostatafor, the upcoming album 'Psychostasis - Death Of Khat', set to be released on April 30th via Agonia Records. T

The band has also revealed that the album will be available in these formats: Gatefold black 12" LP; Limited to 125 copies transparent orange splatter 12" gatefold LP (with A2 poster); 6 panel digipack CD with booklet; Dark brown zipper-hoodie; Black t-shirt (colour front and silver on the black back and sleeve) and Digital.

'Psychostasis - Death Of Khat' was recorded by the band themselves in Greece and Sweden, in a manner in which sound vibrations have been registered in a form analogous to the way in which the human ear perceives sound. High standards were provided especially for the vinyl edition of the album.

Earth Electric are revealing the first track taken from their debut album 'Vol.1: Solar', which will hit the streets on May 12th. The Norwegian-Portuguese rockers lead by mastermind guitarist Rune "Blasphemer" Eriksen (ex-Mayhem, ex-Ava Inferi, Aura Noir) are streaming 'Meditate. Mediate'.

Mastermind Rune Eriksen told us on behalf of Earth Electric: "We have chosen the aptly titled 'Meditate. Mediate' as our first single, because this song reflects the content and theme of our album well. We also feel that its vibe serves as a wake-up call for this rather bleak and egocentric world. We simply need more colours!

"Through our debut 'Vol.1: Solar' we convey pure emotions with a musical emphasis on 'the classic era' of hard rock. In our opinion, the result is adventurous and fun; at times a tad psychedelic and untamed yet on the other hand classic and refined. This is no make-up, just pure rock in all its pride and glory. We are Earth Electric!"

With the release of their seventh full-length record quickly approaching, metalcore titans Emmure have unleashed a brand new music video for their song 'Flag of the Beast', which is featured on the upcoming album, 'Look At Yourself' (out March 3rd on Sharptone Records). Discussing the process behind the making of the new music video and the concept at the heart of 'Flag of the Beast', Emmure frontman Frankie Palmeri told us:

"I was very happy with the video we did with Aaron Marsh. He came to me with a vision based off his interpretation of the song, and he brought it completely to life. He wanted to give me an audience that becomes ultra violent or possessed by the lyrics of the song.

'Flag of the Beast' represents the idea that I am in fact some sort of evil deity in some peoples eyes, but on the same coin I am sort of an anti-hero. It is about myself and how I view people that have exited my life or have looked at me like I'm not on the right path. It is about being the epitome of all things that are against the grain. You can hate me if it makes you feel better, but I am not going anywhere."

The Fallen State announce their new EP 'The View from Ruin' will be released on 24th February 2017. Following on from their four critically-acclaimed, well-played and received previous EPs (I, II, III, and 'Crown Your Shadows)', 'The View from Ruin' is eagerly awaited by fans, will be an excellent addition to the band's repertoire, and is accompanied by a striking, recently-shot video for the single track, 'Nova' released 13th February 2017.

"The View From Ruin is without a doubt the product of maturity in our song writing. It's the collaboration of every band member having an influence and highlights the drive and togetherness within our band. As a whole it represents everything we have experience so far, and we're beyond excited to show it to the world." says Ben Stenning.

Guitarist Jon Price adds "Nova is probably the most heartfelt song we have written to date. Members of the band have experienced loss in a deep way over the past few years. We hope the story of Nova will resonate with the fans and they will identify with the overall positive aspect of the song, as well as the sad elements seen in the video."

Kenwyn House, guitarist of 90s alt rock giants Reef and his new UK psychedelic rock band Goldray are set to release their highly-anticipated full length debut album 'Rising' on May 5th.

Recorded at various studios including Metropolis, The Granary and RAK Studios, the album has been produced jointly by Kenwyn House and vocalist Leah Rasmussen and co-produced by Clive Martin (the acclaimed knob-twiddler behind Reef's huge debut Replenish), with Brit Award-winning producer Pedro Ferreira adding his magic touch to the final mixes.

'Rising' will be released in Vinyl LP, CD and Digital formats via their own label Akashic Records, with worldwide distribution through Cargo Records.

The band will kick off their live schedule in support of the album with a launch show at London's The Borderline on Wednesday 10th May.

Forging death Metal with elements of thrash, groove, black, and melodic tones, Ottawa's Ominous Eclipse will be unleashing their sophomore album 'Sinister' later in 2017 to follow their 2015 debut album 'End of Days'. First single 'The Horde' is premiering now.

Vocalist/ guitarist Graham Murphy told us: "The Horde is a relentlessly aggressive track, which we fueled all our energy into through blasting drums, screaming guitars, and rapid vocals shrieking brutal lyrics of epic proportions."

Ominous Eclipse will be performing a hometown show in Ottawa on February 2nd at Cafe Dekcuf alongside Hamilton's Profaner (Wacken Metal Battle Canada 2016 Champions), Toronto's Sludgehammer, Ottawa's Domination and Montreal's Requiomend.

Chicago based Metallers Black Sites are streaming their brand new single 'Burning Away The Day' taken from their debut album 'In Monochrome', out on 17th February 2017 via Mascot Records/Mascot Label Group (Black Label Society, Black Stone Cherry, Monster Truck, Big Jesus, Vola, Counting Days, Stoneghost).

"I wanted to challenge myself with clean singing and by writing well-crafted songs," reveals founder Mark Sugar "I went back to my influences, old school Metal, prog rock, and hard rock—music built on classic songwriting."

Black Sites features some of Chicago's finest players from the underground Metal scene. The band features Mark Sugar on vocals/guitar, ex-Trials bandmate Ryan Bruchert on guitar, John Picillo on bass, from Without Waves and Immortal Bird, and Chris Avgerin on drums, from Nequient and Autonomy.

Hailing from New England, USA, the modern, progressive band Earthside are set to release a brand new cinematic music video for 'A Dream In Static', featuring Dan Tompkins (Tesseract, Skyharbor).

The track is taken from the widely acclaimed debut album 'A Dream In Static'. The group's conceptual mission statement, it is a story of purposeful sacrifice and existential yearning told across sweeping instrumental movements and adventurous vocal composition. Earthside entertain an ever-changing sound that is equally engrossing. alongside a work of cinematic art.

The video was directed by Erez Bader of Silent Flight Productions. Earthside have begun composing their highly anticipated sophomore release, eyeing a 2018 recording and completion.

Nidingr will release their fourth album in 2017, titled 'The High Heat Licks Against Heaven'.

The album is drenched in Norse mythology, and names from the younger and older Edda appears throughout in the lyrics. The album drifts toward the middle of black and death Metal, but with the Norse theme it creates a unique and fresh breath of sound. To put it mildly, this is a brutal and honest Metal record.

Check out the brand new video for 'On Dead Body Shore' here:

To coincide with the start of their UK & European tour with Trivium, SikTh premiered their first new single and lyric video for 'No Wishbones'.

"I think SikTh fans old and new will love this new tune, it has a lot of intricacy instrumentally and vocally, with a nice blend of extremes and melody." Mikee Goodman told us.

'No Wishbones' is the first track the band have revealed from their hugely anticipated new studio album, which will be their first full length since 'Death Of A Dead Day'. The digital single is be available to buy now.

Dodecahedron are premiering the third song taken from their forthcoming album 'kwintessens', which has been scheduled for release March 17th.

This Dutch League of Extraordinary Musicians is harnessing the power of seething black chaos into a precisely aimed sonic assault. Expanding on the pioneering works of Mayhem in their 'Ordo Ad Chao' (2007) phase and French trailblazers Deathspell Omega, Dodecahedron push this stream of extreme consciousness forward into even more spine-chilling dimensions.

Have a listen to 'An Ill-Defined Air Of Otherness' right here:

Tequila Mockingbyrd have just released their brand new video 'Never Go Home'.

The track is a disco-punk tribute to youth, weekend antics and living life to the full, and a homage to their beloved Melbourne. The video depicts the band in 50 years' time, reliving their youth on a nostalgic rampage around their home town.

The song is taken from the forthcoming album 'Fight And Flight' on 24th March via Off Yer Rocka. The band will also embark on a UK tour supporting Bonafide in March.

Following their single 'Lady Of The Lake', London-trio Beatrix Players have announced their debut album 'Magnified' will be released on March 31st, and will play a launch show at Hoxton Hall, London on May 11th.

Beatrix Players are a London-based all-female trio who make florid, adventurous music. There are tempestuous passages in their music that you can imagine being delivered by traditional rock instrumentation but it is the very absence of guitars and drums that means that there is nobody out there quite like Beatrix Players.

Through their enchantingly dark and evocative melodies, expansive arrangements and empowered orchestral sound Beatrix Players tell stories of real life and fantasy.
