earMUSIC is delighted to announce the release of 'Thank You Wacken', a live recording and a video of the Kai Hansen & Friends show at Wacken Open Air 2016, on June 23rd.

Filmed & recorded on a muddy but vibrant summer evening at last year's Wacken Open Air Festival, 'Thank You Wacken' is a unique snapshot in time as this was the first and only performance of Helloween and Gamma Ray luminary Kai Hansen's band, with whom he recorded and co-wrote his 2016 solo debut "XXX – Three Decades In Metal". For this special occasion, Kai Hansen gathered a line-up of special friends to give the thousands of metalheads a once in a lifetime performance.

The choice of Wacken for Kai Hansen´s one off live show as the leader of his solo band was not a coincidence, as he explains: "1994 was the first time I played Wacken with my fellowmen in Gamma Ray... A small festival in an unknown place in the north of Germany, near my hometown Hamburg, with cows grazing on the neighboring pasture. Since then, we played again and again on a more or less regular basis of every two years, watching it grow into a monster of amazing dimensions.

"I am happy and proud to still be playing this monster. This time with a great bunch of friends and fellow Metallians and with a set list of – at the time - mostly still unknown songs but we got this fantastic feedback and support by an awesome crowd of dedicated Metalheads. So thank you my dear friends, who were there by my side. And THANK YOU WACKEN!"

This memorable concert will be available on DVD+CD (Digipak), Blu-ray+CD including exclusive bonus tracks as well as on gatefold 2LP and digital.

Following the monstrous success of their December 2016 UK tour - which saw Bullet For My Valentine perform career-spanning setlists all over the UK, in addition to select performances of their classic 2005 debut album, 'The Poison', from beginning to end – BFMV will release a very special multi-format summation of their two consecutive sold-out performances at the world famous Brixton Academy, London.

Titled 'Bullet For My Valentine - Live From Brixton: Chapter Two' fans will now be able to experience the intensity of both 'Night One' (December 9th 2016's, 'career-spanning' performance) and 'Night Two' (December 10th 2016's 'The Poison' performance) via DVD, Blu-Ray, CD & Vinyl.

Matt Tuck says; "'Live at Brixton Chapter 2' marks the end of a massive 18 month global touring cycle, so to mark the success of 'Venom' and to celebrate our debut album 'The Poison' - we thought we'd capture both nights so that everyone could be a part of it. It was an incredible couple of nights at a venue that means so much to us, so make sure you grab a copy and enjoy the madness."

Pre-orders are being taken now via pledgemusic.com.

Adrenaline Mob's third full length album, 'We The People', which is penned for a June 2nd 2017 release date via Century Media records, is now available for digital and physical pre-order. Fans who pre-order a digital copy will also receive the song 'King of the Ring' as an instant grat track.

The band have also launched a video for the first single off 'We The People', titled 'King of the Ring'.The video, which was shot in Long Island and directed by Ron Cote, also serves as an introduction to the new Adrenaline Mob rhythm section of bassist Dave Z and drummer Jordan Cannata.

In just two years, Tess Of The Circle have amassed an impressive CV with repeat support from multiple national radio stations in the UK including live sessions. The band have engaged audiences with shows at Glastonbury, sub-headlining the Acoustic Festival of Britain's second stage and headlining Bear Gryll's Festival in London. Amongst many dates, this year sees them playing Bearded Theory main stages as well as playing alongside Reef and Puddle Of Mud on the main stage of the new Amplified Festival in Gloucester.

The band have now unleashed a stunning new single and video. Produced by the prolific Gavin Monaghan (Robert Planet, Lemmy, Ryan Adams, Grace Jones), the single showcases another side to this exciting independent rock act. Delivered with the same intensity and conviction as their critically acclaimed alt rock tracks this reflective acoustic song brings cello, acoustic guitar and mandolin into the mix to startling effect.

Filmed in the streets and woods of Brighton, the accompanying video tells the story of two children, who are neighbours, who form a friendship when the boy notices the girl walking around town with a cart mysteriously collecting items and trinkets for an unknown purpose. The video, filled with fairy tale imagery set against a modern world, cannot fail to affect you by its simple but powerful message and emotive surprise ending.

Dutch Symphonic Metal giants Epica are proud to announce the launch of their brand new live video 'Dancing In A Hurricane'. The track has been taken from the band's latest output The Holographic Principle, which was released via Nuclear Blast in September 2016 and charted worldwide.

The video was captured during their sold out show at The Zenith in Paris last February where the band closed their most successful European tour to date together with an excited legion of 5000 fans. This live video perfectly mirrors the band's non-stop innovation and their continuously improving live performance.

Coen Janssen comments on the video: "When you are in the midst of touring, you tend to forget how special it is and how privileged we are to be able to perform every night. The show in Zenith Paris is an absolute highlight in our career and therefore I am extra happy we decided to shoot some live-videos of this show.

"This first one, featuring one of my favourite songs on »The Holographic Principle« takes me back to this night instantly so I can relive the moment again and again. The video shows me in retrospect what an awesome tour this was!! Thank you all again for joining us that night and for making our days brighter all the time!! Enjoy!!!"

Don Broco have announced the biggest headline show of their career to date. The Bedford four-piece will play London's Alexandra Palace on November 11th and tickets go on sale today, Friday 5th May.

To mark the announcement, the band have released their brand new track 'Pretty', out now through SharpTone Records. 'Pretty' finds Don Broco enlisting huge stomping riffs and dark industrial electronics to create yet another epic rock anthem, to follow last year's monstrous tune 'Everybody'.

The accompanying video is an eye-watering beast, and not for the faint-hearted. A twisted wedding tale of jealousy, horror, blood and DIY face-transplants it is – quite simply – jaw-dropping.

Prog master and multi-instrumentalist Arjen Lucassen is back with a brand new video for 'Run! Apocalypse! Run!' from his stunning new Ayreon album 'The Source', out now on Music Theories Recordings/Mascot Label Group.

Speaking about the video Arjen has said "Oh yessss... time for some good old speedy proggy metal: Run! Apocalypse! Run! This lyric video features vocals by Tommy Karevik, Hansi Kürsch, Michael Mills, Russell Allen, Floor Jansen, Tobias Sammet, Nils K Rue and James LaBrie. Video created by the amazing Wayne Joyner."

Cue much rejoicing with the news that Voodoo Six are back with the release of their fourth studio album, 'Make Way For The King', which will be released on 8th September 2017.

Exclusive special editions are available via PledgeMusic right now. Everyone who pre orders will get a free download of the title track. The new album boasts twelve brand new tracks and was recorded in Los Angeles in 2017. The record was produced by Tom Fletcher (Suicidal Tendencies, Ozzy, Steve Lukather, Yes, Jeff Beck, Scorpions, Toto, Malmsteen).

'Make Way For The King' will be the first album to feature the new vocalist Nik Taylor-Stoakes, and UK tour dates will be announced to coincide with release.

Maryland-based rockers Lionize are delighted to confirm their return to the UK in July/August, for eight headline dates plus festival performances at Ramblin' Man Fair and Bloodstock. The band - consisting of Chris Brooks (keys), Henry Upton (bass), Chase Lapp (drums), and Nate Bergman (guitar) - have been hard at work putting the finishing touches on their new studio album, set for release this Summer via new label The End Records.

Frontman Nate Bergman told us, "Coming back to the UK after our December 2016 tour with Clutch is such an exciting feeling! On that run, we tried out some new songs we'd been working on and the response and energy was something like we've never felt live. To be able to come back again is really a privilege!

"All of our favourite bands through rock and roll's history were either from the UK or got a following there before the USA caught on. To top it all off, we're playing Bloodstock and Ramblin' Man Fair! How many bands can say they did both of those?! Can't wait to show you what we have this Summer."

Tickets are on sale now.

2017 is lining up to be a very exciting year for The Dives, currently putting the finishing touches to their debut EP, due out later in 2017. The band will be touring throughout the year, and kick this off with their debut UK headline show as well as supporting KISS across the UK in May 2017:

UK Dates
Saturday 27th May The SSE Hydro Glasgow support to KISS
Sunday 28th May Barclaycard Arena Birmingham support to KISS
Monday 29th May The Water Rats London headline
Tuesday 30th May Manchester Arena Manchester support to KISS
Wednesday 31st May The 02 London support to KISS

Based in NYC, the new band – still under a year old – wasted no time writing original material, rehearsing and leaping onto the club circuit. When asked to describe The Dives' sound, Evan Stanley, lead guitarist and vocalist, says "Power Pop". Sergio Ortega, bass and vocals, explains, "It's a rock band playing pop music. Big hooks, but rattier than Top 40."

Download Festival stamped their style on the latest fitness trend by hosting a spin class to the very best in Heavy Metal music. Taking place at 1Rebel Studios in London on Wednesday 26th April, the event saw the festival and fans pedal to the metal to get behind the Heavy Metal Truants' training schedule, ahead of their annual charity ride from London to Donington Park.

The Metal spin class saw a host of Truants, festival fans and the Download Dog unite to cycle, head bang and sweat it out to tracks by bands from this year's festival - take a look in the video below:

Now in its fifth year, the Heavy Metal Truants sees the rock and Metal community raise money for Nordoff Robbins, Teenage Cancer Trust, and Childline, by embarking on three days of cycling, covering 164 miles from Alexandra Palace and arriving at the hallowed grounds of Donington Park on Friday June 9th.

Boasting a line up of legendary titans in rock, Metal and punk, this year's Download Festival will welcome momentous performances by the almighty headliners System Of A Down, Biffy Clyro, and a ground-breaking final ever UK performance from the rock ambassadors themselves, Aerosmith.

Behemoths of their genres Five Finger Death Punch, Mastodon, A Day To Remember, Slayer, Rob Zombie, AFI, Airbourne, Opeth, Dillinger Escape Plan, Simple Plan, Every Time I Die, and many many more unrivalled names alongside WWE NXT Superstars live in action, make Download Festival the most unmissable weekend for any rock fan. Metal horns at the ready!

April sees the re-release of 'The Nightcomers', Holocaust's debut LP from 1980 to CD with 9 bonus tracks added from the band's three 12" singles also out between 1980-1982. Quoted as one of the most important albums of the NWOBHM this is the first time the album has been available for 20 years and now with the nine bonus tracks added and a booklet packed with full lyrics and sleeve notes by main man John Mortimer, this release will be in high demand by Metal fans.

The album features many rock anthems beloved by the HM fraternity including 'Heavy Metal Mania' and 'Death Or Glory' (both songs were also covered in later years by Gamma Ray and Six Feet Under respectively). 'The Nightcomers' features the bands all original Scottish line-up and was the first release by Edinburgh-based Phoenix Records, an independent record shop turned record label to release this album, and where vocalist Gary Lettice worked.

John Mortimer expanded on their independent roots recently telling us: "The emergence of Independent Labels was one of the most significant aspects of the NWOBHM. Prior to the grass roots movements of Punk and NWOBHM, freedom of musical expression were granted or denied by the major labels whose only concern was financial profit. In those pre-internet days of of the late 70s/early 80s the indie labels prevented youth musical culture from being reduced to a mere line item.

"The material on this album was considered to be 'not commercially viable' by the majors. No doubt they would have said the same about Metallica who quote Nightcomers as one of their influences. I'm proud of this re-release not only because of what the music represents but also because of its independent heritage. I've got HM music in my blood and I'd like to give it to you if I could."

Motionless In White have released 'Rats', another new track taken from their forthcoming album, 'Graveyard Shift', which is set for release via Roadrunner Records today, 5th May.

'Graveyard Shift' also features a guest appearance from Korn's frontman, Jonathan Davis, who lends his vocals to 'Necessary Evil'. Motionless are set to spend the summer on both the US and European summer festival circuit, including a slot on the main stage at Download Festival on Friday 9th June. Full dates can be found at www.motionlessinwhite.net.

Two of the most underrated - but widely respected - Heavy Metal releases of the late '80s were undoubtedly the first pair of albums by New Orleans-based hard rock outfit, Lillian Axe - 1988's self-titled debut and 1989's 'Love + War'. And on May 12th, both will be reissued as "special deluxe collector's editions" via Rock Candy Records - complete with multi-page booklets, essays, and fully remastered audio, shaped from 24 BIT digital technology.

The band - led since their inception by guitarist Steve Blaze - caught the attention of Metalheads during an era when bands like Ratt ruled the MTV/radio airwaves. And it just so happened that Ratt's manager at the time, Marshall Berle, crossed paths with the band, and helped broker a recording deal with MCA Records, and in turn, enlisted Ratt's late guitarist, Robbin Crosby, to produce the group's debut album, spawning such standout tracks as 'Dream of a Lifetime', 'Vision in the Night', and 'The More That You Get'.

Lillian Axe came back even stronger with their sophomore set, 'Love + War', with Tony Platt (who had previously worked with AC/DC, Def Leppard, and Krokus) serving as producer - which resulted in such rocking tunes as 'The World Stopped Turning', 'Show a Little Love', and 'She Likes It on Top'.

'Help', the new Darren Craig-directed video from Papa Roach, has now been unveiled and can be seen below.

The song is taken from the band's ninth studio album, 'Crooked Teeth', which which is due to be released on May 19 via Eleven Seven Music. It is available digitally and physically, as a standard (10 tracks) and deluxe (10 tracks + 3 brand new tracks + 16 Live tracks Live at the Fillmore Detroit) editions.

'Help' was produced by Nicholas "Ras" Furlong and Colin Brittian, who grew up listening to Papa Roach and inspired the band to revisit some of their early influences.

"We really followed our instincts and tried something unproven" explains Furlong, "We ended up morphing the band's best 'old school' traits into a courageous and more adventurous version of Papa Roach in the 21st Century". Lyrically the new offering touches on the personal, yet relatable, theme that surrounds the universal struggle of surviving mental health issues.
