Following the success of their first single 'Sun Stroke Heart', multi-national hard rock blues group Samarkind release their self-titled debut album on 24th November 2017.

Featuring eight tracks and clocking in at 33 minutes, this short (but most definitely sweet) album release is set to be one of the highlights of the year for music fans who enjoy rock that's to the point and crafted with talent, passion and care.

Ahead of their debut album release, Samarkind were recently special guests to Inglorious, live in Dublin Ireland.

Mollie Marriott, impressively-voiced daughter of Humble Pie and Small Faces frontman Steve Marriott, today releases the single and video 'Truth Is A Wolf' from her debut album of the same name which lands on 3rd November.

Mollie says about the album: "It's a rock album, but there are also elements of gospel and country. It's grungy, too. I am a grunge girl. I love Chris Cornell and Pearl Jam."

The single showcase's Mollie's fantastic voice and also features a guest appearance by Paul Weller. Make sure you cath Mollie on tour this November with Bad Touch.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the release of Nikki Sixx's drug-soaked NY Times bestselling memoir, 'The Heroin Diaries' and SiXX:A.M.'s 'The Heroin Diaries Soundtrack'.

To commemorate more than a decade of sobriety and life lessons learned, Nikki Sixx and SiXX:A.M. revisit the seminal work; announcing Tenth Anniversary Editions of the book and album in multiple formats including: digital LP, CD, CD / DVD, Special Edition Vinyl, and Graphic Novel. Fans can get a jump start by pre-ordering these and more exclusively at PledgeMusic.

Says Sixx: "Over the last ten years I've met so many people who have thanked me for The Heroin Diariesand say that it saved their lives," explains Nikki. "But the truth is, writing The Heroin Diaries saved my life too."

This July, Shadowflag packed their gear into a car and drove 1,435 miles across Europe to an old Soviet ski resort deep in the Carpathian Mountains. Here, overlooking stunning scenery, they played a 45 minute show to a festival crowd with no previous contact with the UK's Metal underground.

Carpathian Alliance Music Festival is held in Western Ukraine annually and has seen a whole host of bands with global stature pass across the stage in recent years – including Behemoth, Watain and Immortal. The 2017 line up was topped by Norwegian black thrash kings Aura Noir and Irish folk metal's Cruachan. Shadowflag became the second UK band ever to play the main stage - the other being Anaal Nathrakh.

Shadowflag has released live footage from the show of 'The Brutality'. The track is from their very recently released third album 'The Delusion Machine'. The track is the absolute core of what the album is all about. It captures struggle, pain and fear but ultimately enlightenment. It's a very key and highly significant track on the album.

Barcelona-based festival Be Prog! My Friend have this morning announced two more bands for next year's line-up in the form of Gazpacho and Persefone. They will join Sons of Apollo, Pain of Salvation and Plini.

"Gazpacho have been one of the most requested bands to play the festival since we first started Be Prog! My Friend. Musically it's not easy to classify them but some call them 'art-rock', others label them as 'alternative' and even the phrase 'neo-progressive' has been mentioned. We are also pleased to add one of the most promising bands in the progressive scene, Persefone. The Andorra-based outfit stylishly and powerfully combine prog and metal."

Be Prog! My Friend which has played host to the likes of Opeth, Steven Wilson, Anathema, Devin Townsend, TesseracT, The Pineapple Thief, Magma, Agent Fresco, Camel, Meshuggah, Katatonia, Riverside, Ulver, Animals as Leaders, Ihsahn, Alcest, Jethro Tull and Marillion will take place on 29th and 30th June 2018.

This Burning Age return to the scene this week with their new EP 'Salvation'. The violent, beautiful and intelligent new collection of bruising alt-rock songs is led by the savage guitars and euphoric chorus of 'Conceal', their new single.

"It's a very personal track," offers frontman Friday about 'Conceal'. "I was writing about the moment of clarity that can happen when you're at your absolute lowest ebb. It's peace after discord. Sweetness in solitude. Joy from sorrow.

"In an industry that's become a little stale and predictable, it's our aim to not only create music that we'd want to hear but that pushes boundaries. We want to make music that inspires - both intellectually as well as in that all important, almost inexplicable, visceral, kick-in-the-guts way that you feel when you hear something you immediately connect to."

Falling Red premiere new video for their single 'My Town My City'. The track is from their exciting new album 'Lost Souls', due for release on 16th March, 2018.

Vocalist and lead guitarist Andrew Roze told us "This song is very much not the norm for us when it comes to writing Falling Red songs but when we sat down to start writing for the Lost Souls album, we took a different approach to normal. Usually once a couple of songs are written, we write to a theme or idea but this time we just sat down and wrote songs we love playing."

Dave Sanders adds: "Due to the theme of the song we asked fans and friends from around the world to be part of it and submit videos to go in to the video, which they gladly did for us" The video features 13 Stars, Stevie Pearce and the Hooligans, Estrella, New generation superstars, Theia, Massive Wagons, Knock Out Kaine, Star Rats, Flush the Fashion, Fahran, Fragile Things, Chasing Dragons, Speedstroke and Panther.

Hällas release their debut album "Excerpts From a Future Past" the 13th October on The Sign Records. The swedish quintet has adopted the progressive sound from their earlier release and their unique way of creating a powerful, catchy, yet complex sound and taken it a step further, calling their genre "adventure rock".

For their new album the members shared interest in the great storytelling of early Heavy Metal and progressive rock bands led to the decision to create a concept album. Using organs, synthesizers, medieval-sounding twin guitars and dynamic drums and bass, their inventive style of songwriting with progressive passages intertwined with a steady foundation of heavy rock followed accordingly - all accompanied by the expressive and wistful vocals of Tommy Alexandersson.

Together, these ingredients blend into this timeless, one of a kind album with a story set in the middle ages of an alternative universe, following a seer who possessed forces previously unknown to man. As the rumour of his powers spread, the story proceeds.

London's hard rock'n'roll quartet, The Dust Coda, release a new single and video, 'When The Tide Comes In', today. The single is available from all good digital media outlets and streaming sites.

Produced by the award winning, Clint Murphy (Thunder, Manic Street Preachers, Devilskin), 'When The Tide Comes In' is taken from the band's forthcoming debut self-titled album, due for release Fri 27 October 2017 and available for pre-order now.

Formed in 2015 around the nucleus of Australian John Drake and British guitarist Adam Mackie, The Dust Coda deliver a rootsy, soulful, yet edge-driven hard rock n roll sound for fans of Soundgarden, The Temperance Movement, Rival Sons & Monster Truck. They are joined by Tony Ho on bass and Scott Miller on drums.

British rock sensation Don Broco have announced their much-anticipated new album 'Technology' is due out in early 2018 via SharpTone Records. To mark the announcement, the band released 'Stay Ignorant', the latest track from the record, which is available now as an instant download with pre-orders of the album on iTunes.

The track is another huge rock anthem from the quartet with danceable riffs and singalong choruses. The video captures moments from the band's surprise sets at the UK's massive Reading & Leeds Festivals this summer, where The Pit tent was packed with fans who figured out that the advertised billing of "The Prettyboys" was in fact Don Broco.

Frontman Rob Damiani explains that the lyrics to the song were inspired by English poet Lord Byron's quote, "Sorrow is knowledge: they who know the most must mourn the deepest o'er the fatal truth, the Tree of Knowledge is not that of Life."

Following the release of their brilliant new album Rise & Shine, out now via Provogue/Mascot Label Group, Nashville trio Simo have released a visually stunning video for their new single 'Shine'.

Speaking about the track, front man JD explains "Shine is about a dark time in my life. I was in a bad place and needed to find a way out. I can honestly say music saved me. I'm very grateful that music is in my life... everyday I hit my knees and thank God for it."

Watford's Gold Key have unveiled the title track from their forthcoming debut album 'Hello Phantom' in the form of a lyric video.

Vocalist Steve Sears told us: "'Hello Phantom' is about not being able to escape your worries. When it feels like they follow you around, almost as if they have manifested themselves as phantoms and are hiding in the shadows. When there is something weighing on your mind it can feel like it never quite goes away and that it is only a matter of time before your worries haunt you again"

2017 has seen the band put the finishing touches to their debut, painting a truly epic landscape, capturing progressive influences from Bowie and Floyd, presented in a more agitated package. Abrasive, fuzzy bass meets soaring falsetto vocals, and angular guitars driven by primal percussion.

West Midlands rockers Mallen are back with their new video 'The Otherside' from second studio EP 'This Dream' which will be released on October 16th.

Mallen combine their personal influences to bring together an empowering, rock fusion that isn't too dissimilar to that of Evanesence, Alterbridge or Halestorm injected with their own added unique blend of anthemic rock.

Guitarist Dann Pritchard says: "Who is Mallen? What is Mallen about? The answer would be, listen to our new EP 'This Dream'. This is Mallen, this is our sound, this is who we are. This Dream is the begining of our journey and we can't wait to take you, the listener along for the ride!"

The melodic Metal band Within Silence have released a music video for 'Children of Light', the second single from their new album'"Return From The Shadows', released October 27th.

'Return From The Shadows' is a perfect follow-up to the debut album 'Gallery of Life' and feels like a more mature and focused album. The impressive song-writing and melodies are still there, together with heavy riffs, symphonic arrangements and epic parts.

The album was mixed and mastered by Roland Grapow (Masterplan, ex. Helloween) and the artwork was created by Jan Yrlund (Delain, Apocalyptica, Korpiklaani). This is a perfect album for fans of bands like Theocracy, Sonata Arctica and Stratovarius.

Courtesans follow their 'Better Safe Than Sober' EP success and Bloodstock slot with the 'Subspecies' UK headline tour this November/December.

The London doom pop group have announced a series of live shows, starting next month. Berlin-based electronic-rock duo Bullet Height are confirmed as special guests on this must see UK tour.

The newly announced dates follows Courtesans special guest UK tour slot to Wednesday 13 this October. The ten date headline tour starts on November 23rd in Cardiff and runs until 9th December in Newcastle.

Imagine if Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, and Alice Cooper had a grandmother that fronted a rock band...enter Granny 4 Barrel, a Neo-Victorian steampunk shock rock nightmare - she is the Matriarch of Metal!

The rocker 'Freak Flag' is the first single/video of many to come (released via Mighty Loud Records and produced by Jeff Tomei), a song about being true to yourself. And the band's singer who goes by the name Granny is a true original. "She represents freedom of expression, no limits on a person, and I channel her rage and insanity. In society, there are these stereotypes based on age, sex, race etc. Granny just shatters the mould! Her mantra is unleash your true self...make your own rules, anything is possible.

"The song is about freedom of expression, and not being afraid to expose who you really are. With that in mind we wanted to include extras and not just have it be the band alone. We put out a casting call for eccentric people who wanted to be able to express themselves. People who had a special look or talent that made them unique. So many amazing people showed up for the shoot. This is what makes the video extra special, these are not "quote" Hollywood actors, these are real people, looking the way they look and doing the things that they do every day… We did not modify anyone's look or persona in anyway, this is truly authentic."
